In this video I'm snowboarding in the Blackcomb terrain park and I've got a few tips to learn 2 easy snowboard tricks. The first snowboard trick is a frontside shifty on a small jump. The frontside shifty is a easy trick to learn on a small jump and you can practice it outside the park on the runs first. Another easy snowboard ticks is the backside board slide. This trick has the same movement as the front shifty and is easy because you don't have to fully commit. If you have any questions about these snowboard tricks you can leave them in the comments. Thanks for watching!</a>

Today I'm up snowboarding in the Whistler terrain park and I want to share with you my biggest tips for landing 180's on you snowboard. The 180 is one of the first snowboard tricks you want to learn on your snowboard. There are a few key skills that go into 180's but the most important to me is getting a clean pop. Getting a clean pop off your snowboard will give you the time to get the 180 around, will set you up balance on your snowboard in the air and also set you up for a clean landing so you can ride the snowboard trick out clean. For more snowboard trick tutorials and tips check out the playlist at the end of the video. If you have any questions about 180's on your snowboard you can leave them in the comments. In this video I break down one of my favorite tricks inspired by pro snowboarder Halldor Helgason. This is definitely a trickier butter to get down as it involves combing several more advanced tricks all into one. You'll want to practice your nollie backside 180's, switch nose press hopping to tail press, cab 180, cab 360, and switch backside 180 before trying this one. Having a softer flexing snowboard will also make this trick easier to learn. I think the most difficult parts are the switch nose press, and the switch backside 180, but by learning all of these tricks it will help you with your overall board control and separating your upper and lower body which can be useful in the park. Once you get this one down it feels really good and is a really fun trick. I hope to see you guys throwing this one down as you cruise around this season, let me know what you think about it in the comments below. Also, if you don't know who Halldor Helgason is, go check out some of his video parts that are on YouTube! Thanks for watching.</a>

In this video I take you through the skills you'll need to progress your snowboarding from hitting boxes to trying your first rail features. You should make sure that you are comfortable hitting a wide variety of box features before trying your first rails to make the progression easier and minimize the risk of falling. You'll want to take time to figure out the proper speed for the feature, approach like a 50-50 with your trajectory aiming towards the end of the rail, and try to catch the rail with your snowboard to help lock onto the feature and slide all the way to the end. Start on larger tubes that are lower to the snow if you mountain has those available, and work your way up to skinnier features that require a larger ollie and more speed to get on to. I hope these tips help you to hit your first rail features and start a whole new curve of progression! Let me know any questions you have in the comments below, thanks for watching.</a>

In this video we're snowboarding in the Whistler terrain park and working on our boardslide progression. My friend Rusty from Taiwan has been working on his boardslides and today I'm going to try a help him nail them. We're going to start by practicing the front boardslide position outside of the park on the snow. On the snow we can get twisted into a back shifty which is the same position you need for the front boardslide. We're also practicing the back shifty on jumps inside the park. Next we found an easy box where we can start progressing with the boardslides. The first couple attempts we rode onto the box 5050 and began to twist the boardslide. As we got more confident we could start committing fully to the boardslide. If you have any question about snowboard tricks or boardslides you can leave them below. Thanks for watching! Check out the snowboarding trick playlist for more tutorials and tips!</a>

In this video I've got tips to help you land your first 50 50 on a snowboard. We're snowboarding today in the Burton Stash park in Avoriaz France, which has all natural wooden features! The 50 50 is a great beginner snowboarding trick and opens the door to many other tricks on boxes and rails. Like all snowboarding tricks its best to first practice outside of the park on the slopes. The first tip for the 50 50 is to approach the feature with a few set up turns. This will get you centered with the feature and dial in your speed. Next get onto the box with your weight centered over your snowboard. This will allow you to slide smoothly to the end of the box. Finally practice your ollies and jumps ahead of time to deal with the landing off of the feature. For more snowboard trick tips and tutorials check out the snowboard trick playlist. Leave any comments about 50 50's and other beginner tricks below. Thanks for watching!

In this video we're snowboarding in the Blackcomb terrain park and working on putting a line of tricks together through the park. The spring conditions are the perfect time to experiment with new snowboard tricks and try new park features. The biggest challenge of planning a line today is how busy it is in the park. Jordan Decker is riding with me today and he's an experienced snowboard coach here in Whistler. The benefit of planning and repeating your line is you can build on the tricks you try on each feature. For more tips in the terrain park check out the snowboarding trick playlist! Thanks for watching!
