Today in the Zermatt snowpark I'm doing my first jump session back on a snowboard this season. There are five jumps in the park here and the left two larger jumps look perfect to session for the day. I've been watching other snowboarders hit these jumps all morning looking to see what the perfect speed is to hit these jumps. For my first day back hitting jumps I'll mostly be doing straight airs and throwing in a few shiftys, grabs and maybe a 180. My best advice for your first day back hitting jumps is to first get the speed right, bend your knees in the air, then plan your landing with a few turns after the landing to control your speed. If you have any questions about progressing with jumps in the terrain park let me know in the comments. Make sure to subscribe to see more snowboard videos here from Zermatt, Switzerland. Thanks for watching and have fun snowboarding!</a>

In this snowboard video I've got five tips to help you progress with jumping on your snowboard. Learning to jump with ollies, on side hits and in the terrain park is the foundation for learning snowboard tricks. For ollies find the sweet spot in your snowboard to snap the tail to ollie higher and in more control. When learning to jump on side hits make sure you line up your snowboard straight with the takeoff and land straight as well. On small terrain park jumps bend you knees to stay balanced in the air and keep your body square to your snowboard to land straight. Finally when attempting snowboard tricks like 180's and 360's pop evenly off your snowboard edge to get height and stay balanced. Let me know in the comments some of the tips that have help you progress with snowboard jumps. Thanks for watching!</a>

In this video I've got some tips to help you land gap jumps on your snowboard. Today we're snowboarding in Cardrona, New Zealand and hitting a step up gap jump in the terrain park. I'm also snowboarding today with David Jones and TJ Kern. The first tip to land a gap jump is to come in with enough speed to clear the gap. To get the right speed you can watch other people hit the gap, hit similar jumps and also check the conditions of the snow. If you have any questions about landing gap jumps please leave them below in the comments. Check out the snowboarding trick playlist for more tutorials. Thanks for watching!

In this video we have three tips for jumping an landing tricks on a snowboard. The first tip is to use your snowboard to pop yourself into the air. This will give you more time in the air to get grab and tricks down. The next tip is to take off from jumps with your snowboard on a slight toe edge. By being on a slight toe edge you'll feel more balanced and in control in the air. The third tip is to use the tail of your snowboard like a landing gear. By putting the tail of your snowboard down first, this will ease you into the landing more smoothly. For more tips on snowboard trick check out the snowboarding trick playlist. Today we're snowboarding in the Blackcomb terrain park and Chris is working on getting back into snowboard jumps and grabs after many years out of the park. Our goals for the day are to get confident with hitting all the jumps in the park and to get a few grabs. To start the day we did a couple warm up laps snowboarding and hitting side hit jumps and the small jumps in the park. The snow today is soft which is perfect for hitting side hit jumps outside the park. The key for progressing safely on jumps is to build your confidence on small jumps before taking to the larger ones. Chris followed me off some larger jumps to get the speed right for making the landing. He also started to get some snowboard grabs once he felt balanced and confident on the larger jumps. We also had a chance today to meet some fans who were practicing their snowboard skills in the park as well! Thanks for watching! For more tips check out the snowboard trick playlist!</a>

Today I'm snowboarding on Blackcomb mountain with my friend Doug who's learning to hit larger jumps in the terrain park! Doug has had a couple days of hitting smaller jumps and box features on his snowboard. We start the day with a couple warm up laps through the small terrain park getting warmed up and minds thinking about jumps. Next we went through the medium terrain park and took a look at all the jumps. Once we were warmed up on our snowboards and looked at the jumps, we were ready to hit the first jump! The first tip for hitting jumps on your snowboard is to get the speed right, so you can clear the knuckle. A great way to get the speed right is to watch other snowboarders hit the jump first. You can also build your confidence by hitting smaller snowboard jumps. Another key for clearing the knuckle is to get a small pop off the takeoff. This will get you more height in the air to make that landing. Practicing the pop or ollie on the snow and small jumps first so you can use it for landing bigger jumps. The final key in jump progression is to land with your snowboard level. When Doug was first learning to jump he was landing on his tail first, but with some practice he was able to level out the landing. Check out the snowboard trick playlist for more tips on jumps and trick progression! Thanks for watching!
