Uncle Hard Enduro 2022, one of Indonesia's most famous Hard Enduro Race, was held in South Borneo - Kirampark. Teodor Kabakchiev did not leave the top to anyone on the second day. Teodor performed quite well and finished day 2 P1 ahead of Alfredo Gomez, Graham Jarvis, Mario Roman and Wade Young. Uncle Hard Enduro 2022 brought up the worlds most talented riders for a breath-taking Indonesian challenge in Kiram Park, South Borneo. After Day 1’s Prologue we jumped into the Day 1 Race where the riders must complete 3 laps through a wide loop. Coming back from injury, Teodor Kabakchiev put some work in it Today and proved himself once again. Young Bulgarian became known as a power house for events like this and as a result of a brilliant ride, he brought the P1 home. Teodor cleared more than 7 minutes against his closest rival. The rest of the pack had a close fight to each other but it was Alfredo Gomez and Graham Jarvis who completed the Top 3. Day 3 will feature another loop but this time a bigger one and will be completed after for two laps. The Indonesian extreme enduro sensation, Uncle Hard Enduro 2022, was held on between 25-27 November in South Borneo and some of the world’s best riders, including Graham Jarvis, Mario Roman, Alfredo Gomez and Wade Young, were invited to have a go. The action started with the brief prologue session where all riders to ride as much as 4 laps and try to set the best time for the main action of Day 1. However, the prologue set up offered some real gnarly rock sections and log matrixes it was an easier task comparing the previous edition. This reminded us the Off-Road Time Trial track from Romaniacs 2020-21, only shorter and with a touch of super enduro at the start. Austrian Dieter Rudolf “aka Didi” was one of the internationals at the event and he tried to gave his best all along the racing week. Off-road Day 2 at the Red Bull Romaniacs 2022 was started with an early morning shower which was to add some spice to the competition but it didn’t last long and we were back at dusty conditions again. Title defender Manuel Lettenbichler, whose hopes of winning the race were battered with a 2h time penalty on Day 1, started the day from 17th place. The German rode an blistering pace though out the day and came out on top by clearing more than 16 minutes to his closest rival for the day, Graham Jarvis. With the fact that Mani is out of the picture, Graham Jarvis had to focus on Teodor Kabakchiev and Mario Roman without getting into trouble. The GOAT got the job done by coming in faster than both behind Mani, P2. He stretched his overall lead to more than 9 minutes against Kabakchiev. It was the young Bulgarian who completed the top 3 for the day and kept his overall P2 position. The breaking news of the day was Alfredo Gomez’s food poisoning. The Spaniard explained the situation via an Instagram post saying that something he had for dinner the previous day affected him badly. He wasn’t able to sleep or have something to eat all day long and received medical aid. Chris Birch’s P1 performance on Day 2 brought him the overall lead by one minute at the Silver Class. We were back at racing at the FIM’s Hard Enduro World Championship with Round 4, Red Bull Abestone, in Tuscany. This was the second ever addition at the gnarly ski resort of Abetone and it was bound to be hard as hell with the technical rocky sections. Racing weekend started with Saturday’s Straight Rhythm qualifier and Billy Bolt was the man to secure the lead starting position for the main race. Alfredo Gomez came in P2 and Manuel Lattenbichler P3. Billy Bolt flagged away to open the track and lead the pack on Sunday. There were 30 seconds in between top starters but when it’s the hard enduro it is not a big one. Manuel Lettenbichler got passed Alfredo and Billy before the mid first lap and from then on, the German rode his pace without making any mistakes and even pushing when he felt it needed. He got his third win in a row which was beyond expectations even for him. Billy Bolt lost the contact right after Mani’s got passed him and tried to stick on the position with a sore wrist. The Brit brought the P2 Podium home safe and kept the chin up. For the third podium place the battle was fierce. After the qualifying disaster, Mario Roman had to start far behind the leading group, P13. The Spaniard however, got a good rhythm and recovered all the way up to P3. The Italian Extreme Enduro fewer continued with Rd3 Headless Rider Extreme Enduro in Teramo, 4-5 June, and the racing weekend kicked off with Prologue. The prologue format was to leave a one-hour window to get as much hot laps as riders wish to get for each classes. Sonny Goggia was the man to set the best time for Sunday’s main race within the one-hour window and here you can watch all his attempts through GoPro POV. It was Gas Gas Official’s Michael Walkner who set the 2nd fastest and Matthew Green 3rd. For the next and the last round of the Italian Extreme Enduro Championship we will go to Vigolzone, Piacenza, on 17-18 September. The Italian Extreme championship heat moved to Teramo for Round 3, Headless Rider Extreme Enduro, past weekend and it was an unreal show with all elements from fans to enthusiast competitors. On Day 2 of racing, it was Sonny Goggia who opened the track for Gold Class. He was followed by his Championship rival Michael Walkner. The two exchanged the lead during the first lap but before it ended the Austrian took the lead. Gas Gas Factory supported Michael Walkner rode a great pace without making any major mistakes and brough the victory home for himself. He continued leading the championship. Privateer and Italy’s own Sonny Goggia put a great effort but it was just not enough to clinch the victory and had to yield for the second position. It was Rigo Racing’s Matt Green who completed the podium for the Round 3. It was a crazy fun racing weekend in the heart of Torricella Sicura and we cannot recommend enough to at least Europeans to be a part of it next year. Racing weekend started with Day 1’s prologue where all riders took single starts into the forests of Torricella Sicura with a tricky super enduro section at the start. Although the track was bone dry it still offered the extreme fun factor with tricky sections here and there. The championship consists of three classes, Bronze - Silver - Gold, and the Gold Class witnessed a real fight with a lot of talents’ presence including Michael Walkner, Sonny Goggia, Kyle Flanagan, Alessandro Azzalini and Matt Green. Extreme XL Lagares returned after two years of absence and hard enduro magicians from all around the world lined up for a taste of Portuguese extreme, 6 - 8 May 2022. Francesc Moret Clota was kind enough to wear our GoPro during the main race and he captured as much as from the start till his battery died. Rieju Factory rider did great during the first two days but it was time to really show off what he has from his trials background. The Spanish man felt great and made a good start and even collected some positions early in the race. He did not have any technical problem with his ride but the pace wasn’t there for a podium appearance at the end. Francesc completed the race in 3h54m58s and claimed P6 behind Ni Esteves.
