This 'snowboarding uphill' thing is probably harder than it looks. But by working on being able to do it, it'll really get you making a clean line with your edge and learning to use your boards sidecut in new ways. And then after that, its great to use when carving and want to prevent yourself from going too fast down the hill (which forces you into skidded turns).
