The sixth episode of our Morton Buildings Team Spotlight video series focuses on the three-time Series Champion, Darrell Lanigan!
The “Bluegrass Bandit” made his return to the World of Outlaws tour in 2019 after a three-year absence to drive for NASCAR driver and Dirt Late Model team owner Clint Bowyer. Full of promise and expectations back behind the wheel of his own Club 29 Race Cars equipment, the Union, KY-native struggled a bit through the midway point of the season, but bounced back in the fall to get back in the thick of a great points battle.
Backed by two of the most dedicated crew members on the circuit, each from very different regions of the country and with different racing backgrounds, Lanigan saddled up to tackle the World of Outlaws tour for the 15th time in his career, looking to add to his already-decorated trophy cabinet. Filmed at Fairbury Speedway back in late July, the DLR crew has since put the #29 back in Victory Lane to get that elusive 73rd career Morton Buildings Feature win, and they’ll look to use that veteran experience in the pit area to do it again once more before the season’s over!
