How It’s Judged:
SEMIFINAL:
2 heats of 10 athletes (20 athletes total), race, approximately 1 minute per lap. Top 6 in each heat advance to Final (12 athletes total). Places 7-10 eliminated from further competition.

FINAL:
1 heat of 12 athletes, race, approximately 1 minute per lap. Actual finish order determines 1st to 12th place.
