This is our last day of snowboarding in Zermatt and I've got some goals for this park session. My biggest goal for the day is to get my spins on the jumps more clean by focusing on my line and pop off the kicker. I'm up riding today with a full crew of snowboarders and a skier. My buddies Yanick and Nirav are working on getting some snowboard tricks going including grabs on the jump and also boardslides on the boxes. I'm snowboarding today with a local here whos a snowboard coach and teach here in Zermatt. Today we're sessioning the park and working on getting some snowboard tricks back. I'm working on getting my knees more bent in the air for tricks and also going for my first 360's of the season. We made it to Zermatt, Switzerland which is one of the only places to ride that has a terrain park. We're heading up the mountain and going to check out the terrain park setup and the border cross track beside the park. The board cross track was a great place to get warmed up and get our snowboard legs back on. The park setup was also great with lot of jump, boxes and tubes to progress on. I've been riding this snowboard in the Zermatt Snowpark for the past two weeks. The highlights that stand out to me about the Capita Outsiders if the stiffness, camber profile and fast base. The bindings I've paired with this snowboard are the Union Atlas and the boots are the Adidas Sambas. I'd recommend this snowboard to a rider who want to go fast in the terrain park, hitting larger jumps and rails. There are five jumps in the park here and the left two larger jumps look perfect to session for the day. I've been watching other snowboarders hit these jumps all morning looking to see what the perfect speed is to hit these jumps. For my first day back hitting jumps I'll mostly be doing straight airs and throwing in a few shiftys, grabs and maybe a 180. My best advice for your first day back hitting jumps is to first get the speed right, bend your knees in the air, then plan your landing with a few turns after the landing to control your speed. Zermatt at the moment is one of the only places in the Northern Hemisphere for summer snowboarding. What makes this places open for snowboarding all year round is the massive glacier and the high elevation. The terrain park setup for snowboard tricks has a variety of features for all levels of park riders. There are also some groomed run open for free riding. The terrain park in Zermatt is over 12,000 feet and is one of the only summer snowboarding parks open in Europe. Today in the park I'm working on getting more snowboard legs back and getting loose in the park. My snowboard trick goals for today are to get a few 180's and 360's down and also get board slides going on the tubes.
