Took a quick spin on my friend's 2020 Yamaha YZ125X two stroke! He has a few carb and motor mods that make the engine on this bike superrrrr crisp and strong. The powerband is extremely smooth everywhere and is probably the most linear two stroke I've ever ridden. The suspension was too soft for me so I didn't feel comfortable hitting some of the jumps. I also felt really cramped on this YZ125. The bike feels small for me, not sure why. Felt low in the seat, elbows felt low and tight on the bars, and my feet kept getting caught on the foot levers. I'm 6 foot 3 inches tall and wear size 12 boots. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching! First ride on a 2003 Honda CR250R two stroke dirt bike. Do you think old 2-strokes are still good bikes? Or do they suck compared to modern motocross machines? Riding dirt bikes with a bunch of friends at an awesome motocross track. I'm a noob when it comes to whips / scrubs but I want to learn them so I spent some time trying them on my KTM 125 / 150 SX. As long as I focus on the form and keep practicing the lean I think I'll be able to do a whip this year.
