I spent multiple days on the Sickstick during our Japan trip and was able to test the snowboard in a nice variety of conditions ranging from park, to slush, to powder. I found the Sickstick to be a very versatile snowboard that was actually really fun in the park thanks to its twinnish style shape. It does have some directional aspects to it like its tapered tail and longer nose (outside the contact points) that both help to offer more float and maneuverability in deep or heavy snow. Overall I would say the Sickstick is a great choice as a freestyle friendly freeride stick. From park to pow I think you're going to have a good time on the Sickstick. Let us know any questions you have in the comments below, thanks for watching.

I was able to ride the Rossignol Sushi at both Happo-One and Tsugaike Resort in Japan and found some fun zones on both occasions. The Sushi stayed on top of deep snow with out much effort in both heavier sunbaked snow as well as soft and light powder that we found. It features a wide rockered nose and skinnier, tapered tail as well as a very wide shape. I think the natural width of this snowboard shines on groomers as well, making it easier to lay into tight carves. This is an awesome snowboard to add to your quiver if you are looking for performance in powder and a fun surfy feeling cruising the rest of the mountain. Leave any questions down in the comments, thanks for watching!

Frontside 360's out of rails are one of the most rewarding tricks to learn, they feel great to do and can be done on a large variety of features although they are easier on round rails (vs flat rails). I would recommend practicing off the toe frontside 360s on jumps before trying this trick, that will help you figure out how to get the full 360 rotation around without having momentum from carving. Approach the feature frontside (with the rail infront of you), that will naturally allow your boards torsional flex to "grab" the rail a bit and give you more leverage to spin off the rail. Try to stay locked in 50-50, and as you approach the end of the rail turn your head and shoulders to initiate the spin. Once you're in the air you can dip the nose of your snowboard to help whip the trick around a little faster, but be careful so that your nose doesn't catch the snow. Once you're comfortable with this trick, try it on a down flat rail to challenge yourself, and get more time in the air as you do the spin. I hope these tips help you to learn this trick, leave any questions in the comments below. Thanks for watching!

In this video we're snowboarding in Japan and I wanted to share with you guys some tips on how to learn any snowboard trick. We're snowboarding today in the Tsugaike terrain park in Hakuba, Japan. The first tip is to make sure you have the right conditions and terrain to learn the trick. Ideally you want to have good snow conditions that are totally free of ice. Having the right terrain is also key so you can progress the trick on the right size of feature. Next you want to break the trick down into individual parts. In this video I'm learning the "Hot Garbage" and there are two main part. Finally get some advice on how to do do the trick from a friend or even a YouTube tutorial. In this video TJ gave me some valuable tips to help me wrap my brain around the trick. If you have any questions about learning new snowboard ticks leave them below. You can also check out the snowboard trick playlist for more tips. Thanks for watching!

In this video you'll find a few tips for how to learn the Japan grab on your snowboard. This is a more advanced grab that is challenging and a lot of fun to do with backside rotations once you are more comfortable with the trick. You're going to grab the toe edge of your snowboard between your bindings with your front hand, similar to a mute grab, however for the Japan you will be pulling your snowboard up and behind you once you get the grab. The most critical tip in order to get the tweak with this grab is to reach your arm outside of your knee when you are reaching for the snowboard. This is going to allow you to pull the board back without getting hung up inside your knees. I hope these tips help you to learn the Japan grab, let us know any questions you have down in the comments below. Thanks for watching!
