The action at the FIM World Hard Enduro Championship moved to Serbia for the Rd 2 Xross Hard Enduro Rally and all the eyes were on Manuel Lettenbichler as the German made his comeback after recovery from the injury. After Day 1’s Straight Rhythm prologue riders lined up for the real deal on Offroad Day 1 where a 100km single track laid through Tara Mountain. Round 1 Minus 400 Desert Extreme winner and championship leader Mario Roman had a bad day of racing due to an early crash he had which then turned out that he broke his toe. The Spaniard kept continuing and did his best and finished the day with P7, ahead of his team mate Wade Young. WHEC title defender Billy Bolt rode with a great pace and grouped with Mani from time to time, finished the day on top. Theodor Kabakchiev was on fire through the day and enjoyed his pace as the Bulgarian played catch with the leading group and hanged there. Theodor finished the day with P2 ahead of the Day’s other surprise Michael Walkner, P3. Spanish Hard Enduro 2022 Championship resumed for the Round 3 La Pesquera in the Cuenca province of Castilla - La Mancha without the overall leader Mario Roman. 2-Days of racing started with the prologue action and all eyes were on Teodor Kabakchiev and David Cyprian as well as the Spanish nationals Eloi Salsench and Francesc Moret Clota. Teodor was on top of the prologue qualification and he is followed by David Cyprian (P2) and Jordi Quer Molgo (P3). Prologue winner Teodor Kabakchiev was suffering from the mild symptoms of flu in the morning of the main race and it showed its effect on the Bulgarian’s early pace. David Cyprian on the other hand led the race for the most part of it till Teodor made his move at the very last lap. Teodor Kabakchiev won the Round 3 by completing it in 3h16m15s, David Cyprian came in P3 (+4m54s) and Francesc Moret Clota P3 (+1Lap). The main race of the Spanish Hard Enduro Rd 3, La Pesquera’s main race was a 3h challenge and the Prologue winner Teodor Kabakchiev had to suffer mild symptoms of flu including fever. The Bulgarian took a bad start and lost his advantage but it was a long run and he knew he had to keep his head down and focus on his pace. He then at the very last lap caught and passed David Cyprian and took the victory. Teodor completed the race in 3h16m15s and David came in P2, +4m54s.Teodor and David were the only ones to complete 8 laps within the time window. Great race. Very rocky and technical route. In the initial stages there was a big fight for the first place. The difficulty of the track progressed as the final approached. In the last few extreme stages I rode energetically and clean and managed to increase my lead! I am extremely happy that we - Bulgaria and ECONT took the victory! ???????????? 2022 Season of the Spanish Hard Enduro debuted with Rd 1 La Clua De Basella on the last weekend of January, 29-30th. We kicked off the racing weekend with the training session which took 2h of practice for anyone willing. After than it was prologue time and each rider hit it for two hot laps. Saturday ended with the prologue and we headed to the main event on Sunday. The main race was a tricky one just as the prologue and caused a lot of trouble to the riders. Prologue winner Mario Roman came in P1 and won the race in the end. He is accompanied by Teodor Kabakchiev (P2) and Francesc Moret Clota (P3). The last day of Sea to Sky 2021 had its traditional zero altitude mass start at the beach and offered a gnarly route to the ultimate finish line over the clouds on the Mount Olimpos (Lycian). The first row took off at 09:00 AM and Mario Roman led the pack at the first half of the race. His team mate Wade Young got the lead before CP5 and stretched the gap more than four minutes once. Towards the end Mario got his rhythm back and reduced the gap down to one minute at the last check point. From that on to the finish he had Wade in his side from a striking distance and waited for the right moment. At a technical hill climb on the last stretch he gambled ona different line and worked his way to the lead. Mario then got to the chequered flag first by finishing the Mountain Race in 3h26m31s. Because wasn’t able to recover overall damage against his teammate Wade he ended up being P2 on the podium. Apart from the leading Sherco duo, Teodor Kabakchiev had a brilliant day as a privateer and came in P3 with just one minute far from Mario but again it didn’t matter cuz again it was not enough recovered for a podium spot. Travis Teasdale on the other had continued his epic S2S journey with an almost stock 250 and after winning Beach Race he rode enough to get him a place at the last step of the podium along side the Sherco’s duo. ✦ We can't thank enough to our host, Kemer Barut Collection family, for having our crew along with the fellow riders. Sea to Sky Day 3 action Sky Race was fairly run through at lover altitude comparing its debut last year. Due to this track selection we weren’t able to shot the epic frames that we filmed last year with extraterrestrial scenery. Once again Sherco’s South African Wade Young completed the track fastest for the day. He finished it in 1h36m06s. His team mate Mario Roman was only 1m45s behind and he kept the overall P2 with a hope to recover the damage on Mountain Race. Travis Teasdale spent yet another great racing day with his 250 and was ready to push it all for the last day.
