Fred has been in a lot of crazy cars in his time at 1320Video, but nothing like THIS! While in Australia, Fred had the opportunity to ride in a MONSTER of a skid car at Summernats 31- S1CKO driven by Jake Myers, a blown alcohol Ford Mustang! Not only that, but this car has won 7 times! It is the most winning-set car in Summernats history. It has been around for a long time, there is even a shot of the car at Summernats 2 on the trunk lid! As you can tell by Fred’s reaction in the video, this was the CRAZIEST experience he has ever had in a car, and he is PUMPED to come back next year! He calls it OVERKILL - We call it PERFECT! Yes, There are TWO Turbos AND a Blower! By now, the whole world knows that Aussies don’t mess around when it comes to CRAZY and over the top, but this was pretty wild even for them! We caught Ben and his BADASS Boost Factory he bolted in between the wheels of a 1976 Ford Cortina! Stoked and ready to ROCK, Ben was preparing for his first Skid ever at Summernats while also hoping to break his current personal best skid of 14 seconds! Built from the motivation of being told he’d never get it to work, it was a particularly proud time as he showed off he CRAZY build! All show and PLENTY of go, this 1976 Ford Cortina laid down a nasty skid until a mechanical issue cut the run short. KING VH - This Guy’s Attitude is AWESOME - No Handicap Here! We couldn’t believe they opened the door and pulled out a wheelchair for this guy after seeing this Blown Holden Commodore VH throw down a NASTY Flame-throwing SKID! Checking back in on our 2nd journey down unda for Summernats 31 at Exhibition Park in Canberra, we were in an even crazier time than last! Luckily we were able to catch up with him at Sydney Dragway a few days later at another skid event before him and his mate headed back to the other side of the country! The owner and driver Jake, was awesome enough to lend us a few minutes of his time to give us some details on how he tames this monster Commodore! Matt James has done one of the CRAZIEST things Summernats has ever seen. He entered into the Burnout Masters class with not one - but TWO 1000 + hp skid cars. Each with a big block and MASSIVE blowers! It was already cool enough that James used both cars but he took it a step further and WON 1’st place with one car, and RUNNER UP with the other car! WHAT A BEAST!!
