I've been riding this snowboard in the Zermatt Snowpark for the past two weeks. The highlights that stand out to me about the Capita Outsiders if the stiffness, camber profile and fast base. The bindings I've paired with this snowboard are the Union Atlas and the boots are the Adidas Sambas. I'd recommend this snowboard to a rider who want to go fast in the terrain park, hitting larger jumps and rails. The terrain park in Zermatt is over 12,000 feet and is one of the only summer snowboarding parks open in Europe. The elevation of the snowpark in Zermatt is 3800 meter or 12700 feet. This is my first time snowboarding in the terrain park since March and my wife Gill first time summer snowboarding. The terrain park setup here in Zermatt is a mix of small, medium and large features. The mix of features has been great for getting back some of my snowboard tricks. The highlight of the terrain park has to incredible views here in Switzerland with the Matterhorn being the most incredible mountain peak. If you're looking for a place for summer snowboarding I'd highly recommend the snowpark here in Zermatt, Switzerland. The Capita DOA is a well rounded, freestyle friendly snowboard that works well as a solid daily driver. It comes in at a great price point for what it delivers, and features some higher end tech inside like kevlar and carbon fiber stringers. For me the highlights on the DOA are how much pop it has to offer, stemming from that positive camber profile, mid flex, and carbon stringers, as well as how fast the base is. I have been really impressed with the bases on Capita's 18/19 lineup. All in all the DOA is a solid all around snowboard that is versatile and capable regardless of where you end up on the mountain. The Twinpig is an evolution of the Warpig which has been around for a couple of seasons now, and brings some of those unique characteristics into a true-twin frame. The most unique thing about this snowboard is that it is a volume shifted twin, that means that it is naturally much wider and can be ridden at smaller sizes. This is going to allow you to carve more aggressively while avoiding heel and toe drag, and is going to make this snowboard a natural choice for those of you with larger boot sizes. I am also a fan of the asymmetrical sidecut that you'll find on this guy. This snowboard works really well as a freestyle friendly, do-it-all style snowboard, and it also comes in at a very reasonable price. I am testing the Arbor Formula Camber, although this is the first year they are offering this board in both rocker and camber so you have the option to go rocker if you'd like. In this snowboard you're going to find a directional twin shape that rides and feels like a twin on hard packed snow, but will offer extra float in powder thanks to the extra length in the nose outside of the contact points. You'll also find a versatile mid flex with Arbor's Grip Tech sidecut, that is going to offer traction, stability, and solid performance in pretty much any conditions you find yourself in. To top it off this board comes in at an amazing price point, and is a great board to start off with if you are looking for something that is affordable, easy to control, and really is capable of doing it all.
