The Italian Extreme Enduro fewer continued with Rd3 Headless Rider Extreme Enduro in Teramo, 4-5 June, and the racing weekend kicked off with Prologue. The prologue format was to leave a one-hour window to get as much hot laps as riders wish to get for each classes. Sonny Goggia was the man to set the best time for Sunday’s main race within the one-hour window and here you can watch all his attempts through GoPro POV. It was Gas Gas Official’s Michael Walkner who set the 2nd fastest and Matthew Green 3rd. For the next and the last round of the Italian Extreme Enduro Championship we will go to Vigolzone, Piacenza, on 17-18 September. The Italian Extreme championship heat moved to Teramo for Round 3, Headless Rider Extreme Enduro, past weekend and it was an unreal show with all elements from fans to enthusiast competitors. On Day 2 of racing, it was Sonny Goggia who opened the track for Gold Class. He was followed by his Championship rival Michael Walkner. The two exchanged the lead during the first lap but before it ended the Austrian took the lead. Gas Gas Factory supported Michael Walkner rode a great pace without making any major mistakes and brough the victory home for himself. He continued leading the championship. Privateer and Italy’s own Sonny Goggia put a great effort but it was just not enough to clinch the victory and had to yield for the second position. It was Rigo Racing’s Matt Green who completed the podium for the Round 3. It was a crazy fun racing weekend in the heart of Torricella Sicura and we cannot recommend enough to at least Europeans to be a part of it next year. The championship heat moved to Teramo, Italy, at the Italian Extreme 2022’s for Round 3, Headless Rider Extreme Enduro by Moto Club Falchilaga, and it was a crazy fun weekend for hard enduro fans. Racing weekend started with Day 1’s prologue where all riders took single starts into the forests of Torricella Sicura with a tricky super enduro section at the start. Although the track was bone dry it still offered the extreme fun factor with tricky sections here and there. The championship consists of three classes, Bronze - Silver - Gold, and the Gold Class witnessed a real fight with a lot of talents’ presence including Michael Walkner, Sonny Goggia, Kyle Flanagan, Alessandro Azzalini and Matt Green. Italy’s top hard enduro rider Sonny Goggia took on the FIM’s World Hard Enduro Championship 2022 season with Round 1, Minus 400 Desert Extreme. With his new team and new ride, he looked sharp and tried his best under the severe weather conditions. Racing week started with Day 1’s Urban race prologue and all riders took 2 hot laps to set the best time possible. Sonny finished his first heat in 26m44s and got the P8. Italian Extreme Enduro 2022 season kicked off with Rd 1, Wildwoods Extreme Enduro, at the Pro Park Genova on 23-24 April. The main race was on Sunday and all classes hit their dedicated track seperately. Heavy rain that the region received before and during the racing weekend forced organizers to cancel a number of sectors but still it was one hell of a challenge for everyone. Gold Class took start at 15:00 local and it witnessed a great battle between favorites both local and international. Dominik Olszowy was the early leader of the race but the rough track made it really easy to make simple mistakes. Local hero Sonny Goggia took over the lead and kept it quite a while. Towards the end it was Michael Walkner’s turn and he hung on his pace enough to clinch the Victory. Sonny Goggia came in P2 and Dominik Olszowy P3. Being a beautiful race and a great organization, it attracted a lot of international faces including Michael Walkner, Dominik Olszowy and Matt Green. Racing weekend started with the prologue and each classes took 1h to set the best time for main race starting position. Heavy rain that the region had during past week forced the organizer to cancel a number of sectors but still with iconic riverbeds and hill climbs it was a great action. Wildwoods Extreme Enduro’s main race is known to be a tough one but the heavy rain made it even tougher. Italian Extreme Enduro Rd 1, Wildwoods Extreme Enduro, held in Genova with international talents lined up for the trophy. Gold Class main race took start at 15:00 local and lasted for the following 2h. National Hard Enduro hero Sonny Goccia was one of the favorites and made Italian fans cheer everytime he passes. He battled his way with Dominik Olszowy and came out as the leader of the race for a long time but later on he made mistakes which caused him the victory. World of Hard Enduro made its unofficial 2022 season debut with the France’s most famous hard enduro event, 24MX Alestrem Hard Enduro. After missing it in 2021 it was time to end the longing and more than 450 riders cheered the French action. The world of hard enduro 2022 season premiered with 24MX Alestrem Hard Enduro on 22-23 January in Ales, France. Sherco’s talented duo Wade Young and Mario Roman were ready to defend the castle on the brand’s homeland. Some of the top privateers including Alfredo Gomez and Sonny Goggia were ready to challenge them too. After the single track Xtrem Test it was the time of Minerva Prologue. Beautifully set super enduro track and motocross style mass start was pretty exciting. After a tough day it was Alfredo Gomez on top of the days podium. The World of Extreme Enduro welcomed the 2022 season with the iconic French challenge, Alestrem Hard Enduro. After missing it last year due to global pandemic the participation was beyond expectations and the fans were amazing as well. The racing weekend consisted of three events; 1. Xtrem Test (Saturday) 2. Minevra Prologue (Saturday) 3. Main Race (Sunday) Minevra Prologue was won by Alfredo Gomez. He accompanied by Sherco’s Mario Roman and young Frenchman Fabien Poirot on the podium. Main event started last in order on Sunday CET 10:00 and there were 3 laps ahead. Being one of the longest rides, +7h, of any known racing day Alestrem Hard Enduro gets tougher each lap. 3rd lap was a killer and riders had to gear up with extra lights at the last pit stop. The favorite trio, Mario Roman - Wade Young - Alfredo Gomez, left the last pit stop back-to-back for the final lap and an extreme battle started. Mario was last in the order but it didn’t take long to catch and pass Alfredo between CP2 and CP3. He then caught Wade before CP6 and the two were racing hard and taking the lead back and forth. After CP8 Wade Young ran out of gas and had to stop desperately. Mario then brought a comfortable win home for the team and became the most winning of the Alestrem Hard Enduro, 3 times. Taking advantage of Wade’s desperation, Alfredo Gomez showed up at the finish line with P2. On the other hand, Wade was desperate in the woods and hoping a helping hand to arrive. After a 10 or more riders passed through, one hero stopped and shared what he has left in his tank. South African then continued to his race and came in P3.
