In this beginner snowboard video I've got some tips to help you link your first turns together. Linking your first turns is one of the last things to learn as a beginner snowboarder. Before linking turns you first want to be able to complete singe heal and toe turns. The key to linking your beginner snowboard turns together is to allow your snowboard to run across the slope at the end of the turn. Once you let your snowboard to run across the slope you can then link into the next turn. For more beginner video for tips and tutorial check out the playlist at the end. Thanks for watching!

Today I'm snowboarding with Rob from SportRx and taking him down his first ever black diamond. Four days ago Rob did his first snowboard run of the season in about a year. He's been working on snowboarding with more speed and more confidence. I've got two simple tips to help Rob with his first black diamond. The first is to to start on his toe edge. The heel turn is the easier of the two and by starting on your toes you set yourself up to be successful on your first turn. The second tip is to commit to the toe turn and face your chest to the top of the run. This will get the toe turn around so you can control your speed and get ready for the next turn. If you have any questions about snowboarding on black diamonds please leave them in the comments. Check out Rob and SportRx on their YouTube channel for goggle and sunglasses videos. Thanks for watching!

In this Video Gill has 3 tips to help you improve your snowboard turns. Today we're snowboarding on Blackcomb mountain in Whistler, B.C. Gill's doing her snowboard turns on groomed runs in the 7th Heaven area. The first tip is too keep your knees bent around your turn, then stand up in between turns. This will help you absorb the pressure yous snowboard builds around the turn. The second tip is to use your back hand to help steer your snowboard. This is very effective for your toe turn and helps to steer more effectively. The third tip is to think of making a line in the snow behind you as you turn. This will help to improve you carving skills. For more snowboard tips from Gill give this video a like. Check out the intermediate playlist for more videos to improve your snowboarding. Thanks for watching!

I know that there are a lot of new beginner snowboarders on the channel and I want to give you guys some tips to progress from green to blue and onto black runs! The best place to practice your snowboard turns when you're a beginner is on the green slopes. Here you can build your confidence and get down the fundamentals. Put lot of mileage on your snowboard in the green area and work on adding speed and control to your turns. The hard part of your first blue run is dealing with the steepness and speed. A common mistake is for people to lean back toward their tale on the first attempts. Take your front hand and point it down toward the snow to get your weight forward on your snowboard and easily make the turn. Being able to control your speed evenly on both edge will take you past the beginner snowboard stages and set you up for the more difficult snowboard runs. Finally when you arrive at a black diamond the steepness can be intimidating. The key is to use your whole body to quickly turn your snowboard quickly down the black diamond run. Pick the right conditions to attempt your first black diamon

In this video I've got five tips for doing intermediate sliding turns on your snowboard. Sliding turns are great for snowboarding on the runs, through narrow paths and in the terrain park. The key for sliding turns is to use the tail of your snowboard like a fishes tail. Sweeping your snowboard back and forth, using your edges to control your speed. Anticipate each turn with your front shoulder, which will allow you to turn quickly and prevent you from over steering your snowboard. Use your knees as you turn to absorb bumps and keep your snowboards edge in constant contact with the snow. The quick sliding turns are perfect in the terrain park because it allows you to keep a narrow approach up to a box or jump. If you have any question about turning on your snowboard you can leave the below. Thanks for watching!

In this video we've got five tips to help you improve you snowboarding turns. These are the five best tips that I've used to help snowboarders improve their turns! Today I'm snowboarding on Blackcomb mountain and Chris is helping us with the tips. The first tip to improve you turns is to keep you back hand over the tail of your snowboard. This will keep you more balanced over your snowboard and also make your toe turn come around smoother. The second tip is to use your knees through bumpy and uneven terrain. By using your knees you'll keep your snowboard in contact with the snow and keep you more in control of your turns. The third tip is to spray snow evenly though out your turns. By spraying snow evenly you'll distribute the effort evenly over your toe and heel turns. The fourth tip is to practice your switch snowboard tuns. By practicing switch you'll challenge your balance, which will improve your normal snowboard turns when you switch back. Finally challenge yourself by turning on side banks. A sign of improving your riding is when you can confidently turn your snowboard on the side banks. If you have any questions about snowboard turns you can leave them in the comments. Thanks for watching!

Really try to over-exaggerate the motions like I'm doing here to fully get the feel of how differently your board will react with the different weightings you will be exerting upon your board. If your carves are decent at all already, I think this will really be a good thing to try out to take your carving to the Next Level. A big thanks to Jim Callen for hosting the clinic and showing us this!
