We're snowboarding in Hintertux, Austria and the mountain got over fifty centimeters of snow in forty eight hours. We arrived at the top of the mountain with our snowboards to find deep snow and dark clouds. We struggled to find our way but the some came out in spots and we managed to snowboard in some of the deepest powder ever. Overall the day was a success and I think we made the right decision to fight through the storm. Many mountain resorts in California have closed during the best snow storms of the year. I can not help but think of the empty chair lifts and fresh powder that many of the mountains have to offer. From the SkidKids family to yours, we are wishing you all the best! We will get through this together at a safe distance of 6ft apart! Now is the time to be more generous than ever. Help those who need it most. Make sure your elders are washing their hands and eating well. Make sure your financially unstable friends have some spaghetti to eat for dinner. Make sure your friends who like to party are not partying. In the meantime we want to keep you stoked about the things that keep us healthy. I'm up on Blackcomb mountain today snowboarding with TJ and we're trying to find the steepest powder areas to hit. On a day like today where the snow is very deep it's important that we pick our lines wisely and keep our speed up on our snowboard. These are also the days which are the reason I first moved to Whistler for snowboarding. The deep powder and endless tree runs make you feel like you're in a snow globe. The best part of the day was actually the last run, where the snowboard had built back up making for incredible powder snowboarding!
