Riding The KAMAZ Truck like never before... This is some serious wakeboarding! Russian athletes introduced a KAMAZ racing semi truck to wakeboarding. The result: world's first mid-air tricks 33 feet off the ground at 50 MPH ????! Unfortunately, many had to shut their doors over the last months leaving wakeboarders around the blue planet to stay put and just get a glimpse from outside the fence. For Felix this sparked his sheer endless creativity to come up with never-seen-before obstacles and tricks like the handplant frontflip over a golf cart, sliding on a ghost boat or squeezing through a truck wheel in mid air.  The project was filmed and realized in 20 days with the support of a Sculpture Winch,  Thatsoundsmart, Lukas Joas, Jan Kissmann and the whole Süß family. Wakeboarder Dominik Hernler spends much of his time out of his Austrian homeland to hone his skills, but he likes nothing better than coming back for all the home comforts he grew up with. His home province of Carinthia is populated with a multitude of lakes, and they provide Hernler with the ideal place to train when at home. However, there are very few closed-cable wakeboarding parks around for him to practice that particular form of his sport, though. Over 12 days this summer the boys got to work on the site. The majority of obstacles on the site were made by the guys themselves, though Hernler was keen to use as much of the materials and equipment left behind in the quarry for the project. After all the hard work and planning it was time to get to play with their creation. The guys did a good job of putting together a set-up that offered up some creative lines that also pushed their own comfort boundaries. 13 times Russian national Champion, Champion of Europe and Bronze Medalist at the World Championships, Nikita Martyanov headed off to the largest island on the planet aka Greenland to wakeboard in icy waters in between and on icebergs and over icebergs. In short, there were a lot of icebergs. Imagine a wakepark where the features live their lives and are always in motion. Every approach to a stunt was unique. At first glance everything looks wonderful, but while I was doing a circle, an ice needle would float up, or the iceberg would turn over in a bad way, or the wind would blow up… Basically, there wasn’t much of a chance to do practice approaches, so you either had to do the stunt on the first attempt or at the most on the second. You had to weigh everything up very quickly, there was simply no time left to really plan something, but he still wanted to squeeze the maximum out of it. _ Experience the world of Red Bull like you have never seen it before.
