More than 150 extreme hill climb enthusiast, including Pol Tarres with his T7, gathered up for one of the most iconic hard enduro race event, Rocket Ride of Erzbergrodeo 2022. Racing week of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship’s Round 3 Erzbergrodeo started with Mitas Rocket Ride on Thursday, 16th of June. All competitors had the chance to hit two hot laps in order to be qualified for the finals. After the prologue session it was Chris Perry who qualified on top. He was followed by Sonny Goggia and Oskar Kaczmarczyk. We then jumped into the whole shot knock-out final sessions in the afternoon. After finishing the qualification with P22 and barely making it into quarter finals, Pol Tarres had a great run both in Quarter and Semi-Finals which let him lined up for the Super Final. In the end we were ready final go and it was Pol Tarres with his fat 2-cylinder T7 against lightweight enduro and motocross singles. Pol couldn’t hold a chance against them and finished last but still it was an epic journey to the finals. FIM World Hard Enduro Championship action resumed with Rd3 Red Bull Erzbergrodeo 2022 and we witnessed one of the most extreme Hare Scramble ever, if not the most. After being cancelled for two consecutive years, in 2020 & 2021, due to global pandemic it was wonderful to see all fans and riders showed up for a great racing experience. Hare Scramble, Main Race, took start at 14:30 CEST and 50 pax whole shot lines broke in towards the Iron Giant. KTM’s Manuel Lettenbichler took a perfect start and kept himself in the leading group of the first whole-shot till the hills and that helped him avoiding early traffic jams into the race. The young German then rode a great pace and brought the victory home for the team. The one and only struggle point was the CP22 Motorex Highway but he managed to keep calm and pass through in the end. It was Mario Roman who came in P2. The Spaniard made some damage repair at the Overall Championship ladder especially after the P10 result in Serbia, Rd2 Xross Hard Enduro Rally. Trystan Hart’s Erzbergrodeo 2022 journey was the most exiting one among the podium contenders. Canadian got in and out of the leading group but the last major mistake he did before Carl’s Dinner almost wiped his possible podium expectations. Keeping it tight and focused Trystan made a huge job through Carl’s Dinner and came out 3rd. He also Became the first Canadian on Erzbergrodeo’s Podium The organization had a great job to put this wonderful event together and its our debt to thank them on behalf of every hard enduro fan out there. Erzbergrodeo 2022 made its comeback after three years of missing and the 4-day hard enduro festival was crowned with an iconic Red Bull Erzbergrodeo 2022 Hare Scramble edition. The extreme enduro supreme was crippled and cancelled both in 2020 and 2021 which carried the expectations even further. Racing week started with Rocket Ride prologue and finals on Thursday. It then continued with the Iron Road prologue heat one on Friday and Heat 2 on Saturday. The fastest 500 were qualified to line up for Hare Scramble on Sunday. The main race of the 26th edition of Erzbergrodeo, Hare Scramble, took off at 14:30 CEST and the battle began. Manuel Lettenbichler had a great start and avoided the traffic very early in the race. The German then rode a flawless pace all alone till CP22, AKA Motorex Highway. When Mani arrived to the newly introduced section it was more then 8 minutes clearance against his closest rival, Mario Roman. Arriving there first without and prior race line, he struggled a lot and ended up having Mario on his tail. Letti was the first to clear CP22 and after that it was basically the Dynamite which could cause problems. He kept his calm and continued without making any mistakes and brought the victory home for the Team. Manuel & Andreas Lettenbichler became the only Father-Son duo to win it in Erzberg, Andreas Lettenbichler won it in 2015. The German also got his second consecutive win in the championship after missing Round 1, Minus 400, and put himself in the P3 at the overall classification of World Hard Enduro Championship, 40pts. Mario Roman was another one coming from an injury from Xross Hard Enduro Rally and he wasn’t fully recovered from it. Spaniard was on a roll despite all and had a great day on the bike. After winning Minus 400 Desert Extreme, he got himself another podium in Round 3, P2. Trystan Hart completed the podium and made history of being the first Canadian on the podium in Erzberg. He had his ups and downs throughout the race and even dropped to P8 before Carl’s Dinner but it didn’t take long to recover those positions and more back. The action at the FIM World Hard Enduro Championship moved to Serbia for the Rd 2 Xross Hard Enduro Rally and all the eyes were on Manuel Lettenbichler as the German made his comeback after recovery from the injury. After Day 1’s Straight Rhythm prologue riders lined up for the real deal on Offroad Day 1 where a 100km single track laid through Tara Mountain. Round 1 Minus 400 Desert Extreme winner and championship leader Mario Roman had a bad day of racing due to an early crash he had which then turned out that he broke his toe. The Spaniard kept continuing and did his best and finished the day with P7, ahead of his team mate Wade Young. WHEC title defender Billy Bolt rode with a great pace and grouped with Mani from time to time, finished the day on top. Theodor Kabakchiev was on fire through the day and enjoyed his pace as the Bulgarian played catch with the leading group and hanged there. Theodor finished the day with P2 ahead of the Day’s other surprise Michael Walkner, P3. The action at the FIM’s World Hard Enduro Championship moved to Spain for round 7, Hixpania Hard Enduro 2021, where we enjoyed the unlimited dirt bike skills of the best riders especially at the Day 2 action Campoo X-treme. The tight 2021 season title fight between Billy Bolt and the defending champion Manuel Lettenbichler made Hixpania even more exciting. Bolt started his racing weekend with a P1 at Day 1’s brief prologue where Lettenbichler felt a couple rows behind, P8. Since Day 2 kicked off with a mass start the damage left from Day 1 wasn’t a big issue for the German. The Campoo X-treme was exclusively a fight between Bolt and Lettenbichler from start to finish. The championship leading duo was on another level where they stretched the gap with 3rd runner more than 12 minutes. Billy Bolt finished the day on top by completing it in 4h22m20s, just 8s clear from the P2 finisher Manuel Lettenbichler. Jonny Walker completed the top 3 with reaching the chequered flag more than 12 minutes behind Bolt. World's most talented hardenduro riders showed up at the Red Bull Romaniacs 2021 in search of one of most desired title. After completing Tuesday's Time Trial Qualification they all took on Ofroad Day 1 for the first taste of the main challenge. Graham Jarvis had an incredible ride and came to the finish line as the day's leader. Defending champion Manuel Lettenbichler came in P2 and 2018's champion Wade Young with P3. Offroad Day 2 is the day of newly introduced Dakar style Marathon Stage and the riders will stay in their tents over night without receiving any service support. World’s finest hard enduro riders showed up at Red Bull Romaniacs 2020 to compete the ultimate Hard Enduro Rallye of all time. Romaniacs was the only race that has happened in the cancelled WESS 2020 calendar and it went through some changes with the regular race format. Biggest changes were the dates and the cancellation of city prologue. The organisation implemented an Off-road Time Trial as a replacement of the inner-city prologue and the race week started with it on Tuesday the 27th of October. The weather was pretty nice and the ground wasn’t muddy to challenge riders through the course. Wade Young finished the day on top by completing the track with 38m51s. Red Bull Romaniacs 2020, the ultimate Hard Enduro Rallye, has come to an end and KTM Factory Racing rider Manuel Lettenbichler is our victor. Despite he started to the day sitting in the overall 2nd place he pushed hard especially between CP5 and CP6 and as a result he found himself on top of the podium for the second time in a row. On the other hand, Graham Jarvis lost some unfortunate seconds here and there but put a great challenge against the youngsters as he is 45 years old. Red Bull Romaniacs 2020 Hard Enduro Off road day 3 was witnessed to a good challenge between Graham Jarvis and Manuel Lettenbichler. They were both comfortable on their rides and kept a good pace throughout the day but Graham Jarvis managed to finish on top by clearing 6m15s from Manuel Lettenbichler. This also let Graham to take the overall lead back as we are heading to the last day of the Red Bull Romaniacs 2020, he is now sitting on top and has a 3m59s advantage against the closest opponent Manuel Lettenbichler.
