The Hybrid Racing Simulations Xero-Play Quick Release system is generally regarded as one of the best sim racing quick release systems available due to its flex-free design, lightweight and great looks, so when I recently decided to upgrade some of my wheels, it was the obvious choice.

Today I'll take you over the system in detail, show you how to get it mounted, and take you through my impressions of this system.

But they've actually been quietly developing and selling their product in China since mid-2018, so they're not exactly inexperienced when it comes to building sim racing gear.

In this video series, we'll be taking a detailed look at the hardware (this video), the software, and the driving experience to see whether this gear is a worthy contender for your sim racing rig, or something to be avoided.

THE FANATEC DD2 REVIEW - Part 1 - The Hardware

Today we get started on our review series on Fanatec's top of the range Direct Drive Wheelbase, the DD2. As the product has been on the market for a while now, I've taken a slightly different approach with this series and tried to include a lot of the questions I've seen in various forums online to attempt to answer as many of your questions and concerns as I reasonably can.

In this video we cover the hardware, next we'll move on to the Software and Ecosystem (which as it turns out is just as important, perhaps even more important than the hardware is to the overall driving experience), and then tie it all together with some driving tests and our conclusions.

If you have any questions, leave them below and I'll do my best to address them in future videos.....
