There's plenty of different methods out there, this is what worked for me.

Measure twice, cut once and be PATIENT!

In my case I did this to prep for wrapping. It's a lot easier to wrap your doors, mirrors and handles if they're not on the car. To reinstall, simply reverse the process.

Please keep in mind that the car is not secure all the time that the handles are removed.

In this video I'll show you how to retrofit the mounting brackets from the NB1 bumper on to the NB2 bumper so it can be mounted using the original clips, as well as a few other small mods required to make it fit.

There's quite a few little dents and marks which need to be fixed up before wrapping the car to ensure a quality and long lasting result.

I'm not a professional, and I've deliberately kept this video relatively vague because I'm sure there's a tonne of stuff I'm doing wrong. That said, I was able to achieve the desired result so I guess I can't have screwed up too badly! Either way, let me know what I could improve on in the comments and I'll note these things in the next video so we can continue to learn together as a community!

The switch is active at all times, meaning I can turn the lights (or any other accessory I connect) on and off any time i want from up to about 100m away, even when the car is off. COOL!
This same switch can be used to control just about any accessory you like. This particular module handles up to 5A of current, but you could always use it to trigger an auxiliary relay that handles more current if you needed to. Remote horn, anyone?

As you can see, the car is in a bit of a state at the moment, with a few "half done" mods that need to be finished off. I also have coilovers and Wrap ready to happen! My aim is to have it back on the road properly and off to some motorkhana in the very near future.

As I mentioned in the video, I am a total n00b with most of the stuff I'm going to be doing over the next little while, so any comments or suggestions are VERY welcome!

No fancy tricks or complex wiring here, but there are a few thigns you need to do to get plugs to reach and sockets to fit.

If you missed the Part 2 showing how to correctly wire up the High and Low Beam circuit so that it functions exactly like a real NB2, WITH working High Beam Indicator Lamp on the dash, make sure you check out PART 2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxJbmIKp2KM

MX5 Miata NB Facelift Part 2 - High & Low Beam Wiring WITH Working High Beam Indicator

With a lot of trial and error, but surprisingly no blown fuses, I was able to design a circuit that achieves what I was starting to think was impossible. The trick is to use relays to trigger the new High and Low Beams, with the rolling ground used to trigger the relays.

In this video I show you how to replicate what I have done, complete with wiring diagrams, how to build, and how to install.

Parts Used (available at most electronics stores):
15A Automotive cabling - 6m Red - 1m Black
2x 9005 connectors
2x 9006 connectors
5x ring terminals
3x spade connectors
6mm Heatshrink (Black)
6mm Heatshrink (Red)
2x 30 Fused 4pin Horn Relay
2x 30A Horn Relay Plugs
1x Fuse Cartridge (60A Fuse)

IMPORTANT: This modification requires the lights to sit for around 24 hours in order for the silicon to cure, so don't start this mod if you won't have time to finish it and need to drive your car. or buy a spare set of tail lights!

Purchase the LED Rings I used here:
https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-headlight-accent-lights/led-halo-angel-eye-headlight-accent-lights/49/#/attributes/13

If you nee3d more glue to seal the lights back up, you want to buy: https://www.amazon.com/RetroRubber-Grade-Butyl-Headlight-Sealant/dp/B01N5PM29J

Special thanks to TheTightShirts for his video on the same subject which was a big help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh7HoJ_tVkc

From here we will monitor the oil leaks for a while to determine jsut how bad they are, then make a decision on whether we spend money on repairing this engine, or go straight for an engine swap.
