Overnight we got 10cm's and it's continuing to snow throughout the day. This snow has opened up some of the areas on Whistler that we where unable to snowboard jump a few days ago. I'm riding today with Chris and Andreas who have their powder snowboads out. Andreas is actually riding a new snowboard that isn't even available yet, the GNU Fun Guy. After exploring some the the new powder zones that opened up we hit up some of the Whistler bike park trails that mostly covered enough to snowboard down. Silverton, ColoRADo (pt II) The mitigated avalanches on Highway 110 (the road to the chairlift) were enormous and the snow completely covered the road over ten feet in some spots. Vehicles were unable to get through there for days and guests came and left. The mad scientist that runs Silverton Mountain decided to transport us powder hungry shredders by chopper from the town pretty much. First time ever this has happened before here so we were all feeling pretty excited and knew it was a special day. After the mountain being closed for five days straight while it was dumping snow you can bet it did not disappoint. Really glad I extended my trip three days because...
