Twenty years ago today, on August 11, 2001, X Games held its first Skateboard Street competition at City Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And it was mayhem. Imagine the scenario: across a busy downtown street from Love Park, Philadelphia's City Hall was already a go-to destination for street skaters. And with the addition of a few banked landings that created new lines, X Games took to the streets for the very first time.
