An abandoned quarry provides the perfect wakeboarding playground for Dominik Hernler, Felix Georgii and Parks Bonifay to session in Falling Rocks. Wakeboarder Dominik Hernler spends much of his time out of his Austrian homeland to hone his skills, but he likes nothing better than coming back for all the home comforts he grew up with. His home province of Carinthia is populated with a multitude of lakes, and they provide Hernler with the ideal place to train when at home. However, there are very few closed-cable wakeboarding parks around for him to practice that particular form of his sport, though. Over 12 days this summer the boys got to work on the site. The majority of obstacles on the site were made by the guys themselves, though Hernler was keen to use as much of the materials and equipment left behind in the quarry for the project. After all the hard work and planning it was time to get to play with their creation. The guys did a good job of putting together a set-up that offered up some creative lines that also pushed their own comfort boundaries. Bonifay, in particular, is more comfortable behind a boat, but it was he who took on the very difficult challenge of circling around the excavator's boom arm, as seen in the action clip. _ Experience the world of Red Bull like you have never seen it before. Featuring a massive kicker with a huge roller landing, riders were hucking some of the BIGGEST airs ever seen in the sport. 4500 Zuschauer pilgerten am 22. Juni nach Hamm in Deutschland, um bei Red Bull Rising High 2014 einige der weltbesten Wakeboarder live zu erleben. Im Finale setzte sich Dominik Gührs gegen die Konkurrenz durch. Extra für den Event war in den letzten Monaten mit Hilfe von UNIT Parktech ein neues Gap-Setup entstanden. Dieses besteht aus einem Pool mit zwei massiven Kickern und einer Roller-Landung im 2,50 Meter tiefer gelegenen See. Click CC for Subtitles! 15,000 wakeboard fans at Magellan-Terrassen in Hamburg witnessed the victory of Raph Derome (CAN) on the UNIT Parktech Wakeboardroller. Nico von Lerchenfeld (GER) won the "Swatch Best Style Award" via live voting. 16 of the world's best wakeboarders put on a stunning event for the audience and performed some massive and stylish action. All the athletes enjoyed their visit in Hamburg staying on their own private sailing yacht and had almost a week time to get their riding ready for Red Bull Rising High. Besides some serious training, the crew still had enough time to undertake plenty of leisure activities and get to know the world famous Hamburg Kiez. The event itself was coined by an extremely high trick level with highlights like e.g. the 1080 by Raph Derome and a double halfcab roll by Brenton Priestly. The three-day event hosted riders from eight different countries and showcased talent in Park, Boat, and Big Air. The camaraderie of the competitors only brought out the best in flips, tricks, and jam-packed action. In the end, a podium of riders would round off the world's best in wake.
