Day 3 of Drag Week did NOT disappoint! This is when the road trip really starts taking a toll on cars! We get a couple stories from racers describing their troubles including George and his Tesla! We were surprised to hear that one! One racer even showed up only 10 minutes before the deadline and completed his pass just two minutes before he had to drop out! Day 1 of drag week started off strong at Virginia Motorsports Park! A 4runner popped a wheelie, a Tesla is competing for the first time ever and may just break the Tesla 1/4 mile world record, people running their personal bests, Real Street not only brought their monster MK4 Supra to compete.. they brought their brand new MK5 that they just put a big turbo on AND SO MUCH MORE is going down! Unfortunately there were two long rain delays that caused everyone being able make one pass and one pass ONLY! That’s right, one pass per car. We ran into the Tesla Racing Channel guy piloting this Tesla P100D on the street...and it was glorious! Are the electric cars finally taking over our bald eagles?! Hopefully not..but this Tesla P100D might have you thinking otherwise. With nothing more than a gutted interior, and some lightweight seats, this economy-electric car shocked EVERYBODY when it wen’t undefeated against some badass drag cars! It’s AWD, and insta-torque make for a KILLER street combo, especially when the roads aren’t too great..can’t wait to see what the future holds for this Tesla!
