Trying out these new Turtle swim baits by @doomzdna in the lake for sunrise on the skiff. I've never used swim baits like this before so I was surprised to find out they work so well!! I had no idea turtles are a natural enemy of bass since turtles will eat their eggs, so a natural reaction to baby turtles is to eat them! Even got a few fish during sunrise until a dolphin came through to blow up my spot. lol These guys are everywhere around Tampa & they'll literally start following the boats around waiting for you to release your catch. Part 2 to a non-stop action day from catching huge tarpon to floating crabs for trophy permit. Fishing out of Boca Grande, Florida with my best friend Brooke & Captain Shane Earhart, we finished off the day catching my first permit! Wooo!! Today we travelled 20 miles offshore of the Florida Everglades / aka MIDDLE OF NO WHERE to fish for HUGE Cobia! Fishing with Tight Line Fishin Charters, Captain Scout Morris is the 8th generation fishing these waters, and we had an awesome day! Huge wrecks were stock full of HUGE fish but also were home to some pretty massive sharks & Goliath Grouper. NOT a good time to fall in the water! Make sure to catch the part of the video where a Goliath grouper had me stuck in a hole, came out & as I was fighting him, the line snapped and I almost went in!
