In this video I'm snowboarding on Mt Hood at Timberline and I'm trying to land a few snowboard tricks. The first trick I'm trying to get is a hand plant with only one hand. I've been able to do two handed hand plants in the past but never with just one. The second snowboard trick is to spin a backside 360 with a mute grab. Finally I'm attempting a few of the larger jump on the jump line here in the Timberline spring park. TJ is also going for a few new trick in this video including a 360 with a nose and tail grab. I also got to do a lap of filming with Casey Willax who is also a snowboard YouTuber!</a>

In this video I'm snowboarding at Timberline Resort and Mt Hood with TJ and attempting to learn new snowboard tricks. The terrain park is called the flow park and has lots of great features to practice new tricks. The snow for spring snowboarding is also very soft and forgiving. The problem with the soft snow is that it can also be very slow and not allow you to get enough speed for the tricks. TJ and I each have three new snowboard tricks that we're trying to get down.</a>

In this video we're snowboarding at Timberline on Mt Hood, Oregon. It's been snowing here the last few days which has resulted in a few inches of snow in the trees and gullies though out the resort. I'm snowboarding today with my friends Garrett and David. The highlight of snowboarding today has been the the deep gullies that wind between runs. Whenever you're snowboarding in the trees always ride with friends and take all the necessary safety precautions. Snowboarding this kind of terrain will challenge your riding and make you plan your line, steer aggressively and use your knees to absorb bumps. Thanks for watching!</a>

In this video we have a treat for you: we are gonna teach you how to handplant. Handplants are an advanced trick but they are also a great introduction to inverts. Doing a handplant in the halfpipe relatively safe because of limited height and using your hand to help in case you fall over.

First step to doing a handplant is finding the right terrain: a half pipe is perfect for this but if you don't have access to one you can also use any slope than goes near vert. Finding a suitable slope will really help you progress faster.

The first trick in hand plant progression is doing an alley-oop backside 180; approaching the wall on your toe edge and turning the nose up the pipe instead of down. This is a similar motion to the handplant and will get your body used the sensation.

Now we can start trying our handplants! The tricks breaks down into 4 sections:

Line: your line should be directly up the wall of the halfpipe and similarly after should be straight down. Avoid the temptation to come in at an angle as this will make the trick much harder.

Pop: probably the most important part, the pop should be creating the trick rather than the approach speed. Try to get as close to the lip as possible, when you feel yourself slowing down near to a stop its time to pop. Your upper body should be extending towards the tail of you board and the pop should be just before you put your hand down:

Hands: try as early as possible in your progression to get your hands down. When learning try using both hands for the plant until you get used to trick. Right after you pop place your hand(s) where your tail was before the pop. This will help the plant get vertical and balanced.
*if you have the right technique you do not need a lot of upper body strength to hold the trick. If you can get the right speed, pop and hand placement it will be very easy.

Look: using your upper body to finish off the trick, look you head around to the landing as early as possible. If you are having difficulty finishing this trick check how much head turn you are doing.

Have fun doing this trick, it is a great one to practice with friends, the consequence of falling is pretty low. We fell many times and no one got hurt, but make sure you use a helmet.</a>

In this snowboard review video I am riding up on Mt. Hood in Oregon and will be doing a head to head comparison of the 2018 Burton Process and Burton Custom. The boards featured in the video have the Burton Kilroy team graphics, but don't worry, they are just the same as the the standard model. The biggest differences between the snowboards are the shape design and flex. The Process is a mid flexing freestyle focused snowboard that is a true twin, while the Custom is a medium-stiff flexing, directional, all-mountain snowboard with a setback stance. One awesome feature on the Custom is that it has a twin flex, so by moving your stance forward about 1 inch from the reference stance, you can actually ride the Custom as a twin as well! In the end I found the Custom to be more aggressive and better for carving, freeriding, and jumping; and I found the Process to be better suited as an all-around freestyle snowboard that is more playful and better for rail features. Let us know any questions you have in the comments below, I hope you enjoy the video.

In this video I will be reviewing the Nobaday Reverence snowboard. This is my first day up HCSC this season and I will be riding the Reverence all day and give you guys some feedback along the way.

The Reverence is a 155cm true twin camber board. It is a park board with a 6/10 flex rating with regular sidecut and 600g of carbon in the nose and tail to help with jumping.

The conditions we icy in the morning and warmed up by the afternoon. Great conditions for carving playing around with the camber profile. It also got a serious run through the park, with all types of rail, jump and halfpipe features.

Today we're up at Mt Hood and snowboarding in the iconic snake run! The snake run is naturally formed banks that wind down the mountain. The challenge of snowboarding through the snake run is staying in control of your speed and turning your snowboard fast enough around each bank. The first tip is to control your speed by spraying snow out the side of each bank. The second tip is to quickly steer your snowboard through the banks by using your front knee and shoulder. The third tip is to use your knees to absorb the bumps and unevenness that comes with riding naturally formed banks. If you have any questions about snowboarding though the snake run, you can leave them in the comments. Thanks for watching!

In this 360 degree video we're snowboarding at the High Cascade snowboard camp on Mt Hood. We were lucky enough to get a clear and sunny day for the last day of snowboarding this summer. High Cascade does an amazing job of keeping their terrain park features in excellent condition all summer. The snow at Mt Hood also stays in great condition because of the elevation and massive snow falls through out the winter. This 360 snowboarding video was filmed with the Ricoh Theta S.

In this video I'll take you on a 360 degree video tour of the High Cascade snowboard camp at Mt Hood. This is an incredible place for summer snowboarding with open runs for freeriding and a terrain park with jumps, pipes and jibs. The terrain park has a great mix of features where you get creative at all snowboarding levels. My favorite freeride area at Mt Hood was the Snake run, where the banks of the run challenges your snowboarding. The best way to watch this 360° video is on your smart phone. Thanks for watching and have fun snowboarding!
