You demanded it, here it is the 2019 list of best bang for your buck snowboards. I wouldn't call these snowboards cheap, but I think that they each offer some great tech and a unique riding experience while coming in at a very reasonable price. I'm really happy with this group of boards ranging in price from $350 to $430, offering something every rider can enjoy without breaking the bank. Let me know which board is your favorite down in the comments below, thanks for watching.</a>

I was able to get a really good feel of the Ultrafear, riding it on a variety of terrain including ungroomed choppy slush, pond skims, and some really fun terrain parks! The Capita Ultrafear snowboard is a solid all around freestyle snowboard for both jibbing and jumping. You'll find a flat to rocker profile and a medium soft flex in this one, I think this combination provides you with a ride that is fun and capable for jibbing and butters while still offering decent stability for jumping and cruising outside of the park. It also comes out of the factory with a structured, sintered base. This is actually a pretty big deal in my opinion and creates a ride that glides extremely well on all snow surfaces, and is able to accelerate quickly. Overall I think the Ultrafear is a beginner friendly snowboard that is still going to offer the performance that experienced park riders want and need. Let me know what you think about the Ultrafear down in the comments below, thanks for watching.</a>

In this video I take a moment to talk about the Spring Break Slush Slasher snowboard. This is a really fun and versatile board that excels at carving as well as powder performance (even though we didn't get to test it in powder). It runs a flat to rocker profile and has a directional shape. It features a taper and setback stance, as well as a longer nose outside the contact points. This will provide you with float in powder and some dampening as you ride through those choppy slush sections. It is also a really wide snowboard which makes it more fun for layed over carves, and is also helpful in the slush and for those of you with larger boot sizes. At the end of the day this is a board that's going to serve up good times any day of the season. Let me know what you think about the slush slasher in the comments, thanks for watching.</a>

Checking out the 18/19 Capita Outsiders snowboard at Mt. Hood, Oregon. We were out riding for an entire week and had some great, variable spring conditions. In the early mornings we had decently firm groomers for carving, with the snow getting progressively more and more slushy throughout the day making for some fun park laps. The Outsiders is a Freestyle board at heart but performs well around the entire mountain. It has a medium stiff flex that I would rate around 6/10 and is more of a jump board when it comes to park riding. You can still have a lot of fun on rails though, you just wont be able to get those exaggerated presses; you will be able to slide outside the bindings without the board flexing out on you thanks to that stiffer flex though. This board is lightweight and maneuverable, and thrives in the park and sending natural features. I was also very impressed with how much speed the sintered base offered on this slow, slushy snow. Let us know any questions you have in the comments below. Thanks for watching.</a>

In this video we have a treat for you: we are gonna teach you how to handplant. Handplants are an advanced trick but they are also a great introduction to inverts. Doing a handplant in the halfpipe relatively safe because of limited height and using your hand to help in case you fall over.

First step to doing a handplant is finding the right terrain: a half pipe is perfect for this but if you don't have access to one you can also use any slope than goes near vert. Finding a suitable slope will really help you progress faster.

The first trick in hand plant progression is doing an alley-oop backside 180; approaching the wall on your toe edge and turning the nose up the pipe instead of down. This is a similar motion to the handplant and will get your body used the sensation.

Now we can start trying our handplants! The tricks breaks down into 4 sections:

Line: your line should be directly up the wall of the halfpipe and similarly after should be straight down. Avoid the temptation to come in at an angle as this will make the trick much harder.

Pop: probably the most important part, the pop should be creating the trick rather than the approach speed. Try to get as close to the lip as possible, when you feel yourself slowing down near to a stop its time to pop. Your upper body should be extending towards the tail of you board and the pop should be just before you put your hand down:

Hands: try as early as possible in your progression to get your hands down. When learning try using both hands for the plant until you get used to trick. Right after you pop place your hand(s) where your tail was before the pop. This will help the plant get vertical and balanced.
*if you have the right technique you do not need a lot of upper body strength to hold the trick. If you can get the right speed, pop and hand placement it will be very easy.

Look: using your upper body to finish off the trick, look you head around to the landing as early as possible. If you are having difficulty finishing this trick check how much head turn you are doing.

Have fun doing this trick, it is a great one to practice with friends, the consequence of falling is pretty low. We fell many times and no one got hurt, but make sure you use a helmet.</a>
