In this snowboard review video we were exploring the Northwest chair at Mt. Bachelor taking advantage of the leftover powder stashes from the storm the day before. The sun came out and made the powder quite heavy, but it was still a great time. Later in the day once summit chair opened, Kevin and I explore the summit and check out some of the 360 degree snowboarding Mt. Bachelor has to offer. The two biggest highlights for me on the K2 Party are how well it is able to set an edge and carve aggressively, as well as how maneuverable that short tail is in the powder. If you have any questions about the K2 Party Platter snowboard or any requests please leave them in the comments below, and make sure to visit http://boardarchive.com for the full review of the K2 Party Platter!

In this snowboard review video we enjoyed fresh turns all day on the Outback and North West chairs at Mt. Bachelor Resort; the deep snow provided great conditions for testing out the GNU Mullair snowboard. This snowboard is a directional carving/powder board with Magne Traction for Grip, and a sintered base. The highlights for me on the Mullair are the precise feeling you get while carving on groomed snow and how much float it gives you in powder. In this video I'm on a long traverse around Mt Bachelor and I've got a few tips for traversing on your snowboard. The first tip is to crank your highbacks forward. Having your highbacks forward will make it easier to keep your heel edge in the snow. The second tip is to ride with your body in a seated position. This helps to keep your weight balanced over your snowboard, so your edge won's slide out. The third tip is to keep your back hand over the tail of your snowboard. This will help you to balance and keep your board pointed straight. If your switch riding is good, try riding switch on your toe edge. Its much easier to traverse on your toe edge. While on your toe edge bend your knees forward to keep your edge in the snow. Your knees also absorb the pumps on the traverse. Give these tips a try and hopefully they're help you to traverse to the area you need to go.

In this video we're snowboarding on a sunny powder day at Mt Bachelor and give you tips on how to do big powder slashes on your snowboard. The first key for big powder slashes is to snowboard into an open area of powder with some speed. The second tip is to quickly twist your snowboard sideways to get the snow spraying into the air. Once your get the spray going untwist and point your snowboard straight again. Finally make sure you keep on your back foot while doing powder slashes. This is key for keeping the nose of your snowboard up in the air and will prevent you from tomahawking forward into the snow. Be safe out there snowboarding and have fun working on the powder slash!
