The 2022 Subaru BRZ is a solid vehicle, but a stock vehicle ain’t a Hoon-spec vehicle! The Bolt-On Boys are on the case but they’re not touching the FA24 direct injection motor — instead they’re tossing on fresh TSW Wheels, Falken Tires, SPARCO seats, tiny Antigravity Battery, a beautiful V-shaped Neo exhaust from Magnaflow, and some sweet coilovers from BC. The Honda IndyTruck starts taking shape! Grimm mounts the front subframe, Jameson and the boys fit up some new body panels, and Suppy hosts the Honda Design team to finalize the look of the truck. Then Suppy and Grimm pick up the REAL IndyCar motor from Honda Performance Development and the whole team fits it into the Ridgeline with some help from Honda's Trackside Engineers. It's every Hoonigan's favorite part of a new project car: tearing into a perfectly good, working vehicle and cutting it to pieces with the boys! The clutch on our HPD IndyCar engine is only meant for a chassis that weighs around 1600lb, so our 4500lb Ridgeline needs to go on a serious diet if this project is going to go anywhere. Suppy and Team 69 rip out the engine, interior, and, well, pretty much everything else. Back to work on the Honda IndyTruck by Hoonigan! Suppy and the rest of Team 69 had a lot to do after gutting the Ridgeline last time. First, we had our buddy David come out to 3D scan the Ridgeline as well as a 2020 NSX that Ron borrowed. With that data, Alex was able to design and build a custom subframe while Angelo & Trevor got the roll cage mocked up and Jameson focused on engine mounts.
