The extreme enduro circus moved to Tuscany for the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship 2022's Round 4, Abestone Hard Enduro. The training session of the Red Bull Abestone 2022 was as hard as the main race's itself and in the given time all riders tested their settings and skillets. Extreme XL Lagares 2022 was held past weekend and it was a great hard enduro show for both competitors and fans. After last years hectic last minute cancellation it was the time for a great comeback in 2022. Organization put a great effort and added the iconic city prologue again but this time on the other side of the river. Sherco duo Mario Roman and Wade Young was everyone's favourite but William Hoare, Francesc Moret and Diogo Vieira were strong challengers. City Prologue wholeshot was a brief one and it was won by Mario. He was followed by fellow teammate Wade and Diogo was 3rd. Endurocross action consisted of two semi-finals and a super final for each class. Pro class super final victory was claimed by Eurotek's William Hoare. Diogo Vieira came in P2 and Wade Young P3. Main Race on Sunday took start at 10:00am local. Wade Young was the early leader of the stage and kept it for a while. Mario Roman recovered the damage left from the Endurocross and managed to pass his teammate for the victory. Wade came in P2 and William Hoare P3. Spanish Hard Enduro 2022 season Rd 2 Cantoria continued on Sunday with the main event which took start on 12:00 am CET at the heart of the southern Spanish city of Albox. The 3-Hour challenge was a fast and hybrid endurance experience for the competitors which would be put on the easy side compared to what we used to see with other Hard/Extreme enduro races. Sherco’s Mario Roman was the round’s favourite and he did finish it with an easy win against his opponents. He was the only one who completed 7 laps within the “3h plus 1 lap” window. Suff Sella came in P2 and Francesc Moret P3. Championship will move to La Pesquera on 19-20 March for the Round 3. Sea to Sky 2021 started with the Beach Race challenge where the fastest 150 from the prologue hit the track 50 pax at a time. After 20 minutes and an extra lap we got a complete surprise podium which was great to see. Travis Teasdale made history by winning the challenge with an almost stock 250. Teodor Kabakchiev came in P2 and Matthew Green P3. We would like to share time differences and lap times but unfortunately it is still not available to anyone. Finally, we came to Day 4 for the Sea to Sky 2020 Hard Enduro Race and all 159 riders were set to have the mass start for the big trophy. Sea to Sky 2020 The Mountain Race format was to take start at the beach and ride all the way up for 55 kilometres to Mount Olympus (2365 meters of altitude). It was Wade Young got reached to the CP1 first but top 5 were so close to each other till CP8. When Mario Roman reached to CP8 first the top 4 were within only 3 seconds. Between CP8 and CP9 Mario Roman and Billy Bolt took a wrong line which hurt these two dearly. In the end of the day it was Graham Jarvis to win the big trophy. Wade Young came in P2 and Billy Bolt P3. With this win Graham Jarvis won Sea to Sky for the 6th time at the age 45. On his way to be the best Spanish Hard Enduro rider, the struggle was real for Mario Roman. He had to leave Husqvarna to make space for his fellow countryman Alfredo Gomez. At the same season he found a seat for himself with the French manufacturer Sherco’s factory team. Untill then he achieved a lot and won great races including Sea to Sky, Extreme Lagares, Hixpania and 24MX Alestrem.
