Ken Block, famed professional rally driver and the driving force behind the Hoonigan brand, has passed away at the age of 55 in a snowmobile accident on Monday. Block was a transcendent action sports star who competed in skateboarding, snowboarding, and motocross events during his storied career. Rally Mexico is definitely the Wild West of the WRC schedule, and even though the race weekend didn't go exactly as planned I still had a rad time meeting all the fans - running the night stage through the streets and tunnels of Guanajuato for the opening ceremony - and pushing my Ford Escort RS Cossie (ultimately to its breaking point) on the first proper gravel stage of the 2020 Cossie World Tour. But hey, at least I didn't roll. Viva Mexico! And congrats to Teemu Sunninen & Jarmo Lehtinen on their 3rd overall finish in their Ford Fiesta WRC. To kick off WRC Mexico, Monster Energy put on this rad press conference / autograph signing session in the middle of Guanajuato, Mexico at the actual cathedral plaza filming location from Gymkhana TEN - AKA the spot with the motorcycle proximity slide.
