My Electric Car Fleet is growing! I needed something for all the awesome driving you can do around Utah, and with 490 foot-pounds of torque the e-tron SUV can get down. Snow slaying? No problem. Huck it in some dirt? Yep, it can do that too. Cruise downtown Park City to see some legendary artwork from Banksy? Most definitely. I’ve put my own personal touch on the car of course with some high performance wheels and tires, but it was my wife’s idea to put on the charcuterie board under the spare. No, really! Today I’m aiming to break the WORLD RECORD lap-time for an all-electric production car with a snowboard roof pod around Laguna Seca, haha! All jokes aside, I’m taking my brand new Audi RS e-tron GT (that I daily drive) for some lap-time testing. For science…? Yeah, for science. It’s amazing how capable this car is straight off the production line, so let’s put it to the test at one of the most prestigious race tracks in the world. I can’t have a 637hp all-electric Audi RS e-tron GT for a daily driver and NOT find out if it can slide, right?? Let’s find out if the brand new e-tron GT can handle some of the things that I love to do most in cars: donuts, figure 8s and BIG slides! It wears the RS badge for a reason, so it’s safe to say I had a solid day of tire slaying. EV power is no joke, the e-tron is not nice to tires which is just another reason why I love it. My 15-year-old daughter Lia got her drag racing license before she could even apply for her learner’s permit. Even though she’s cleared to launch the 1,400hp Hoonicorn she can’t drive herself to school! But that's about to change cuz in October Lia will turn 16 and get her driver’s license — so she’s gonna need a STREET-LEGAL daily! She used her earnings from Hoonicorn vs the World to buy this ‘80s Audi Ur-Quattro, but it needs a lot of wrenching before it’ll run again. We dig into all the details and plans alongside our in-house Audi expert Dave Pecoraro (AKA @broken_quattros), and the work begins in a never before seen area of Hoonigan Racing Division: the kids’ toy and workbench area!
