We are back in Europe to do one of my favorite things ever… drive legendary Audi race cars! But this time we’re driving on ice to prepare for the upcoming GP Ice Race. We met up with our friend @jpperformance in Munich, Germany and cruised an Audi e-tron GT all the way down to to the Zell am See airport in Austria. Why? Because they have a wonderful frozen lake AND I get to test drive a freshly restored Historic Audi Quattro A2 Group B Rally car. The excitement is real! It’s finally Ron’s turn to pick up a wagon, and it’s the ULTIMATE Rally nerd car! It’s a 1991 Lancia Delta HF integrale 16v, and it’s got a built-in Garrett T3 turbocharger, dual exhaust, and big ol’ box flares to hit home its Rally roots. Now that the Ballast boys have their trophies it’s time to say auf wiedersehen to @JP Performance and make their pilgrimage to the one and only Nürburgring to earn their stickers! We couldn’t go to Germany without seeing JP Kraemer and his un-freakin-believable shop at @JP Performance! Plus he’s been storing Ron’s mystery car for him — JP’s chill like that. This guy is the Scarface of Carcaine, with wild ideas like Big Boost Burger (the only burger joint with a DYNO built inside!) and the not-yet-open-to-the-public PACE Museum, which shows off decades of German auto engineering from BMW Formula 1 motors to VW’s Pikes Peak Hillclimber. But when Scotto sees an Audi RS 2 Avant for sale, will he buy a second car before Ron even sees his?
