Today we're snowboarding with a huge crew of fellow Youtubers with Casey Willax, David Jones, Board Archive, Andreas Schubert and Daly Wear. This is our first time snowboarding with such a massive crew and the stoke level was super high. We got some decent tree runs and ran into one of the scariest moments we've had here yet snowboarding in Japan. Rusutsu Japan is know for it's tree runs and deep powder snowboarding. We're also searching for powder pillows to and new zones to snowboard through. Chris is riding the Gentemstick XY snowboard and testing it out in a powder zone we were shown a few days ago. This will be my first cornice drop in Japan on my snowboard and TJ hit this area a few days ago. Following the cornice drop there are open fields of powder and many powder pillows to drop off. This will be my first time exploring this zone in Hanazono Japan and it was worth the hike to find the cornice drop and powder pillows. When we first arrived in Japan the weather forecast was only calling for traces of snow. Luckily on our first day of snowboarding we woke up to over forty centimeters of fresh powder. The snow has continued to fall since we've arrived which peaked on this day when we got over another 40 centimeters for the most epic day of powder snowboarding yet. We also met up with our friend and fellow youtube snowboarder Casey Willax who's out here for the next month to make snowboard video. So far this has been our best snowboard trip to Japan and we're feeling super thankful for the snow. In the last video we asked you guys if David should buy red snowboard pants to match his jacket and David followed through with the request and got the matching pants. We also meet up with some friends of the channel Ellstacker Adventures and Chuck Van. David and I found some good powder snowboarding in the trees outside of Gate 5 in Hanazono. We attempted this hike last year but failed at reaching the summit with our snowboards. This time around we're hiking the volcano with snow shoes and getting an early start, so hopefully we can reach the summit. If we can manage to summit the mountain we'll have one of the most incredible rides down snowboarding through powder and pillows.
