If you're thinking of rebuilding an old, tired and worn out engine, this will be a good guide on the steps involved. In this film we show how to disassemble an engine; removing drive accessories, carburetors, exhaust, intake, cylinder head, piston, connecting rods and crankshaft. A machine shop will clean the block, check for cracks, line hone, deck squareness, etc. About this particular engine: 1973 Datsun 240z l24 2.4 liter inline six cylinder engine. 170k miles.
