Uncle Hard Enduro 2022, one of Indonesia's most famous Hard Enduro Race, was held in South Borneo - Kirampark. Teodor Kabakchiev did not leave the top to anyone on the second day. Teodor performed quite well and finished day 2 P1 ahead of Alfredo Gomez, Graham Jarvis, Mario Roman and Wade Young. Uncle Hard Enduro 2022 brought up the worlds most talented riders for a breath-taking Indonesian challenge in Kiram Park, South Borneo. After Day 1’s Prologue we jumped into the Day 1 Race where the riders must complete 3 laps through a wide loop. Coming back from injury, Teodor Kabakchiev put some work in it Today and proved himself once again. Young Bulgarian became known as a power house for events like this and as a result of a brilliant ride, he brought the P1 home. Teodor cleared more than 7 minutes against his closest rival. The rest of the pack had a close fight to each other but it was Alfredo Gomez and Graham Jarvis who completed the Top 3. Day 3 will feature another loop but this time a bigger one and will be completed after for two laps. The Indonesian extreme enduro sensation, Uncle Hard Enduro 2022, was held on between 25-27 November in South Borneo and some of the world’s best riders, including Graham Jarvis, Mario Roman, Alfredo Gomez and Wade Young, were invited to have a go. The action started with the brief prologue session where all riders to ride as much as 4 laps and try to set the best time for the main action of Day 1. However, the prologue set up offered some real gnarly rock sections and log matrixes it was an easier task comparing the previous edition. This reminded us the Off-Road Time Trial track from Romaniacs 2020-21, only shorter and with a touch of super enduro at the start. Austrian Dieter Rudolf “aka Didi” was one of the internationals at the event and he tried to gave his best all along the racing week. The final round of the 2022 Hard Enduro World Championship was bound to be a close fight at Hixpania between the defending champ Manuel Lettenbichler and the home hero Mario Roman. After Day 1’s City Prologue and Day 2’s Campoo Xtreme Mani managed to reserve the front row for final action, Lost Roads. From start to finish he controlled everything and stayed away doing major mistakes which would have put a tragic end to his almost flawless season. At the end of the day, The German rightfully defended his title and became a 3rd time champion of the world. Mario, with just 4 pts behind Letti, was full of hopes at the start of the week but the opening days didn’t turn out to favour him. He still had a 2h30m extremely hard course to cover as well as his rivals and opportunities might show up. He put his head down, caught his pace and started working on damage recovery but at the end it was just not enough against Letti. The Spaniard crossed the line 2nd and therefore completed the season with P2 on the podium. City Prologue winner Alfredo Gomez was the one who completed the podium for Hixpania Hard Enduro 2022. HEWC championship 3rd position contender Graham Jarvis managed to complete P5 and secured his spot on the season’s overall podium. It all came down to a final show at the Hixpania Hard Enduro 2022 to decide who was going to be the Champion of the World for Hard Enduro World Championship 2022 season. The title fight between Mario Roman and Manuel Lettenbichler got fierce as we went along with the calendar and it is only a mere 4 points lead that favours the defending German, 1- Letti 107pts 2 – Roman 103pts. By having a better resume at the Spanish challenge, Mario knew he could make the difference and use the home crowd advantage for a final push. The 3-day challenge started with the city prologue where Alfredo Gomez got the P1. Then we jumped into Day 2’s Campoo Xtreme where the story was a bit tragic. Lattenbichler had an amazing day and cleared almost 10minutes to the closest rival and therefore brought the P1 home but later on he was penalized for speeding. After this Trystan Hart found himself as the day’s winner. Day 3’s Lost Roads was laid before all the elements of hard enduro and the iconic Le Mans style start wasn’t there but the 2h30m show started anyway. Manuel Lettenbichler controlled the whole race from start to finish and claimed the Hard Enduro World Championship by winning his 6th race of the season. Mario was sturdy all the way and pushed hard it was just not enough for the day, he came home with a P2 both at the race and the HEWC standings. It was Alfredo Gomez who completed the podium for the year. Graham Jarvis secured his Bronze medal for the season by coming in P5 at the Hixpania 2022. Hixpania Hard Enduro was also the last round of the newly introduced Junior Hard Enduro World Championship, 4 European Rounds out of the HEWC calendar, and the man who triumphed it was Matthew Green from South Africa. Gas Gas and WP Suspension teamed up with Enduro Life Media to support Travis Teasdale’s Sea to Sky 2022 adventure. Being a privateer and coming all the way from South Africa, it is an expensive journey for any privateer to compete in such an organization. In 2021 we gave one of our own stock Gas Gas EC 250 to Travis and he made history with it. South African won the Beach Race and became overall P3 with a 250. This year we decided to gave him a better bike and brought the idea to Gas Gas and WP officials. They loved the idea and jumped right in with the project. We were able to convert our 2023 stock EC 250 into an EC 300 Factory Replica with all the necessary parts that are provided by Gas Gas Official and WP Suspension. We briefly put a sequence from the built period into this one but a detailed one will be published soon. Travis started to his racing week with a P1 at the Beach Race prologue on Day 1 and jumped into the finals in the afternoon. The finals didn’t start as he planned, with a bit of starting order chaos, but he then quickly recovered all the way up to 2nd in lap 3. The rock garden was a bit too technical for the backmarkers and lapping them wasn’t easy. He got stuck several times there and finished P8 in the end. On Day 2 he lined up for the Forest Race through the Taurus Mountains. After having a fast and flowing day Travis came home with P3. Day 3 featured the Sky Race for all the challengers. After nearly two hours of racing Travis got his best ever result of the week, P1, but the margins were so close, he was still 3rd overall before the main Mountain Race on Day 4. After the whole-shot at the beach, Travis got the lead and guided the pack into the riverbed. For the better part of the early stages into the last day he was keeping up with the leading pack but then overall P4 contender David Cyprian managed to gap further till the end. After nearly 4 hours of racing Travis reached to the finish line with P4, Day 4 and overall. An exciting track was laid off for the challengers on Day 2 at the Sea to Sky 2022’s Forest race. The single track that laid through Taurus Mountains wasn’t an extreme one but being tricky is always the case. Travis Teasdale started the day with P8 in order and had some homework left from the hectic Beach Race on Day 1. He picked up his rhythm early in the stage and kept the pace till the end. At the end of the day, South African managed to come home with a massive P3 behind Graham Jarvis and fellow countryman Matt Green.
