Today we unbox and take a first look at the new Harbor Freight Predator 212cc Ghost ???? racing kart engine. This is a box stock style racing engine for an asphalt racing kart. The new Ghost has a 6000 rpm digital governor, heavy valve springs, top plate, and VM22 round slide carb. The engine will not come with an air filter, exhaust, gas tank out of the box. If you live somewhere where there aren't any overland or offroad shops nearby, maybe you can find the gear at your regular shops instead. Today we drive the rotary shifter go cart on the street! This rotary go kart is powered by a 1975 Hercules W2000 motorcycle and is a complete monster for this small go kart frame! In order to get this thing all finished up we first needed to install a custom steering wheel and 3d printed badges. This kart is also rocking the 787b Renown livery of the 1991 Le Mans car. While it doesn't seem like much, it took us hours to get everything up to spec. After it was ready to go, we took it out to some abandoned roads and really let it get up to speed! While we were driving we unfortunately lost the clutch, we think that there was a metal ball in the clutch rod that got welded to the push rod itself. Hopefully we can find the parts we need to get this thing back on the road! Today the rotary moves under its own power for the first time! This rotary go kart is powered by a 1975 Hercules W2000 motorcycle and is a complete monster for this small go kart frame! In order to get this thing moving under its own power, we needed to add brakes, throttle, clutch, fuel system, battery box, ignition system, and a chain tensioner. While it doesn't seem like much, it took us hours to get everything working properly and doing its job. With this, towards the end of the video we were able to start this engine for the first time on the shifter kart frame and we are more than excited to get to ripping this thing! Here's our built from scratch go kart with homemade shifter kart frame with some home depot pipe and a harbor freight welder. We put a lot of time into this project and took a lot of pictures so we figured it would be cool to put it into a video. Kart has a predator 212cc motor with a comet torque converter and 11x6.00-6 Maxxis Tires on it.
