This snowboard will be a general production snowboard for GNU next season and you're going to get a lot of value for the price. The Antigravity snowboard features a positive camber profile (GNU's C3 profile) providing you with a powerful, precise and in control feel, as well as 7 point Magne Traction and a medium-stiff flex to give you the grip and stability you want. It is a directional all-mountain snowboard and runs a directional shape, setback stance, and small taper to help give this snowboard a bit of float on those deeper days without compromising switch riding too much. I will say that this snowboard does have a slightly different feeling when riding switch though, but is very manageable when you need to ride switch. Overall I think this is a great all-mountain snowboard that is going to be capable in most situations, and thrives in technical terrain. The Headspace is a unique snowboard as it is one of the only, if not the only, snowboard currently being made that offers a positive camber profile from contact point to contact point, additional contact points in the form of Magne-Traction, as well as an asymmetrical sidecut. These features combined with a medium flex make this a great all around park snowboard, as well as a board that can hold its own outside of the park exploring and carving. The biggest highlights for me on this one is the carving, stemming from its sidecut and magnetraction, as well as how much fun it is on rail features. All in all the headspace is a solid all-around, freestyle friendly snowboard. I purchased the T Rice Pro snowboard by Lib Tech because of its versatility to ride all mountain from carving, to tricks and powder. Andreas is going to take us through other snowboards in the Lib Tech and GNU lines to see if I made the right choice. First we go through a set of park snowboarders from the Lib Tech Skate Banana to the Box Knife and GNU Head space. These snowboard are more park specific with a twin shape and small profile to excel with tricks. Next we look at some all mountain boards like the Skunk ape, TRS, Ejack Knife and GNU Mullair. The TRS and Ejack Knife have there strengths in being more aggressive snowboards for all mountain carving. Where the Mullair is a bit more friendly in powder. The Skunk Ape has the width for riders with larger feet. Finally we get in to some powder specific snowboards like the Lib Tech Rocket Mayhem and the GNU SPAM. Both are made to float with larger noses and small tails. In the end I feel like I made the right choice with the T Rice Pro for that all mountain carver that I can still take into powder and throw some tricks with! I decided to change things up a bit in this video and hike some rail features to try some more technical tricks in the beginning of the day, and then did some cruising to end the day. The GNU Headspace is a freestyle snowboard that combines some unique tech in a way no other snowboards are currently offering. It has a camber dominant profile, an asymmetrical sidecut, and additional contact points in the form of magne traction. These features combined with a medium soft flex create a board that carves well and with lots of grip, while also still being flexible, good on rail features, and poppy. I think this is a great snowboard and would recommend it to the freestyle/park oriented rider who wants a snowboard that still handles very well outside of the park. I would recommend this board to intermediate riders and up, if you are comfortable on blues you are capable of handling this snowboard well. The snow stayed firm and icy in spots all day which provided a lot of great terrain to test the limits of the Magne Traction this board has in its side cut. I was able to get pretty aggressive with my carves without any issues and the board also felt at home in the park. The overall rocker shape gives a noticeable loose and playful feel that allows for easy catch free butters and natural feeling presses on jib features. The highlights on this board for me is how well it was able to hold an edge on icy hard packed snow, and how natural presses and jibs felt.
