The last time I owned a Desktop PC that I didn't build myself was back in the mid-90s, and a lot has changed since then! HP recently reached out and offered to send me one of their new OMEN Desktop PCs to put to the test. If you ignore the thousands of dollars I spent on the cooling gear in my "Ultimate Gaming PC" build from a few months back, the two systems are actually pretty equivalent in terms of specs on paper despite the HP costing pretty much exactly half what I spent on my build.
