DonkeyTec Kicks A$$ and a 650hp VR6 Corrado ride along sure helped put that into perspective! After wrapping up a shop tour and an inspiring ride in a CRAZY GAD Motors built SUV, Frank literally slid us straight into another shop tour with our friends at DonkeyTec! Specializing in Volkswagens, these guys really know what they are doing when it comes to the FWD VW and VR6 platforms. While their main course is currently VW/Audi, they are looking to expand their menu out to BMW and Lamborghini’s, neither of which are simple undertakings. Judging by how tame and radical this DonkeyTec turbo VR6 Volkswagen Corrado was, we can’t wait to see what impressive feats these guys accomplish in the future on some seriously badass cars! We could not BELIEVE how BADASS this Mercedes SUV sounded and performed! Continuing 1320Video’s tour through Germany, our guides Alex and Frank took us to a nearby shop that specializes in Mercedes-Benz performance and modification and they did not disappoint! Pulling up to finding a custom camo 6x6 out front and a TWIN Turbo SLS inside, the guys over at GAD definitely know the Mercedes brand and what to do with it! They invited us in and gave us a run down of the cars in the shop and shared their goals with each car at the upcoming RACE1000, as well as started up a symphony of twin turbo German v8’s inside the shop! To pull everything together the shop manager offered a ride along in a HIGHLY modified AMG GLC SUV, that just blew us away! The nimble suspension and the throaty roar of the 4.4 Liter engine battled our shock and surprise the entire drive as we struggled to decided which aspect was more impressive! Welcome to Germany! 1320Video’s first time in the land of German engineering and we couldn’t be more excited! Checking out of the racing stateside for a week, We boarded a flight overseas for a tour of Germany on our way to RACE1000! Landing in Frankfurt, we loaded up our rental Skoda Fabio (lol it was the WORST) and let our friend and tour guide Frank take the wheel! Unlike our rental Skoda, Frank shares our passion for speed and did his best to get us into triple digits without running out of road first.
