Not only did they land a rather unsubtle mic-drop at the Not Geneva Motor Show with their 1,700bhp four-seat family-wagon – the Gemera – but they threw their metaphorical microphone right in the direction of Bugatti with this – the Jesko Absolut, a top speed oriented version of the Jesko capable, apparently, of 310mph…. This is the new Koenigsegg Gemera, and it is a family car. Indeed, we know this because it has four seats, hot and cold cupholders, and the ability to store four adults’ carry-on luggage. Also, this is the new Koenigsegg Gemera, and it is absolutely mind-blowingly nuts. It has 1,700bhp, 2,580lb ft of torque, the ability to go from 0-62mph in 1.9s and up to 250mph in “record matching pace”. And that’s not all – the powertrain is bonkers too. We like Huracáns here at Top Gear. They have the looks, the handling, and the noise. But what they don't have, despite most of them being 4WD, is the ability to drive down a really bumpy backroad at speed - until now. Welcome to the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, a rally-ready raging bull that very well could be the greatest Huracán ever. To make it capable off-road Lamborghini have added reinforced bumpers and side skirts, all-terrain tyres, skidplates, an inlet scoop at the top of the rear windscreen, chunky bolt-on wheelarches and increased the ride height by 44mm over a standard EVO. The engine itself is - as expected - a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 as per the standard Huracán RWD, meaning an easy and reliable 600bhp and 413lb ft of torque, with a redline at 8,700rpm. There’s a dedicated engine tune for Sterrato, but seeing as that maximum torque figure isn’t achieved until six-and-a-half-grand, you’ll still have to rev it. Not usually a problem, seeing as that V10 at above 8,500rpm should be registered as an aural national treasure. Allow Top Gear magazine's Tom Ford to be your guide...
