Electrification is clearly the future for small city runarounds. However, some manufacturers are looking to the past for design cues - in a good way... The Honda e has dinky dimensions and doe eyes, reminiscent of its 80s ancestor, the Honda City. Underneath its retro exterior, it has a 35.5kWh battery and an electric motor that produces 152bhp. The Fiat 500 Electric looks like... well, a Fiat 500 - a tried and tested shape which has barely changed since the 50s. It doesn't have as much power as its Japanese rival (116bhp) but it does come in almost 200kgs lighter. These arent The Stig's standard track weapons of choice, but they should make for an interesting race.
