What’s faster in a drag race… an 85 horsepower Superkart, or a 710 horsepower Ferrari? This is the battle of power vs weight, with the Ferrari weighing almost 10 times what the Superkart does! We run these two cars through four challenges: a standing quarter-mile, a rolling quarter-mile, 0-100-0mph acceleration and brake test and finally, our favourite, the Moose Test. This Ferrari 488 Pista has 710 horsepower and 770-newton metres of torque. It only has one engine, which is a 3.9 litre twin-turbo V8. It has a 7-speed, dual-clutch paddle-shift gearbox and weighs 1280 kg. With all the bells and whistles, this Pista cost £350,000. The Ferrari is up against a Division 1 Superkart, it has 85 horsepower and weighs just over 200kg with the driver. It has a 2-stroke 250cc engine, driving the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential gearbox. You can pick up a superkart for as little as £8,000. ???? Are you a car expert?
