Uncle Hard Enduro 2022, one of Indonesia's most famous Hard Enduro Race, was held in South Borneo - Kirampark. Teodor Kabakchiev did not leave the top to anyone on the second day. Uncle Hard Enduro 2022 brought up the worlds most talented riders for a breath-taking Indonesian challenge in Kiram Park, South Borneo. After Day 1’s Prologue we jumped into the Day 1 Race where the riders must complete 3 laps through a wide loop. Coming back from injury, Teodor Kabakchiev put some work in it Today and proved himself once again. Young Bulgarian became known as a power house for events like this and as a result of a brilliant ride, he brought the P1 home. Teodor cleared more than 7 minutes against his closest rival. The rest of the pack had a close fight to each other but it was Alfredo Gomez and Graham Jarvis who completed the Top 3. Day 3 will feature another loop but this time a bigger one and will be completed after for two laps. The Indonesian extreme enduro sensation, Uncle Hard Enduro 2022, was held on between 25-27 November in South Borneo and some of the world’s best riders, including Graham Jarvis, Mario Roman, Alfredo Gomez and Wade Young, were invited to have a go. The action started with the brief prologue session where all riders to ride as much as 4 laps and try to set the best time for the main action of Day 1. However, the prologue set up offered some real gnarly rock sections and log matrixes it was an easier task comparing the previous edition. This reminded us the Off-Road Time Trial track from Romaniacs 2020-21, only shorter and with a touch of super enduro at the start. Austrian Dieter Rudolf “aka Didi” was one of the internationals at the event and he tried to gave his best all along the racing week. The final round of the 2022 Hard Enduro World Championship was bound to be a close fight at Hixpania between the defending champ Manuel Lettenbichler and the home hero Mario Roman. After Day 1’s City Prologue and Day 2’s Campoo Xtreme Mani managed to reserve the front row for final action, Lost Roads. From start to finish he controlled everything and stayed away doing major mistakes which would have put a tragic end to his almost flawless season. At the end of the day, The German rightfully defended his title and became a 3rd time champion of the world. Mario, with just 4 pts behind Letti, was full of hopes at the start of the week but the opening days didn’t turn out to favour him. He still had a 2h30m extremely hard course to cover as well as his rivals and opportunities might show up. He put his head down, caught his pace and started working on damage recovery but at the end it was just not enough against Letti. The Spaniard crossed the line 2nd and therefore completed the season with P2 on the podium. City Prologue winner Alfredo Gomez was the one who completed the podium for Hixpania Hard Enduro 2022. HEWC championship 3rd position contender Graham Jarvis managed to complete P5 and secured his spot on the season’s overall podium. It all came down to a final show at the Hixpania Hard Enduro 2022 to decide who was going to be the Champion of the World for Hard Enduro World Championship 2022 season. The title fight between Mario Roman and Manuel Lettenbichler got fierce as we went along with the calendar and it is only a mere 4 points lead that favours the defending German, 1- Letti 107pts 2 – Roman 103pts. By having a better resume at the Spanish challenge, Mario knew he could make the difference and use the home crowd advantage for a final push. The 3-day challenge started with the city prologue where Alfredo Gomez got the P1. Then we jumped into Day 2’s Campoo Xtreme where the story was a bit tragic. Lattenbichler had an amazing day and cleared almost 10minutes to the closest rival and therefore brought the P1 home but later on he was penalized for speeding. After this Trystan Hart found himself as the day’s winner. Day 3’s Lost Roads was laid before all the elements of hard enduro and the iconic Le Mans style start wasn’t there but the 2h30m show started anyway. Manuel Lettenbichler controlled the whole race from start to finish and claimed the Hard Enduro World Championship by winning his 6th race of the season. Mario was sturdy all the way and pushed hard it was just not enough for the day, he came home with a P2 both at the race and the HEWC standings. It was Alfredo Gomez who completed the podium for the year. Graham Jarvis secured his Bronze medal for the season by coming in P5 at the Hixpania 2022. Hixpania Hard Enduro was also the last round of the newly introduced Junior Hard Enduro World Championship, 4 European Rounds out of the HEWC calendar, and the man who triumphed it was Matthew Green from South Africa. This bike SUCKS on this endurocross course. I LOVE the bike on a motocross track but it is a big NO for slow technical riding in stock form. The bike is my 2005 Kawasaki KX250. The clutch pull is stiff as hell, the suspension isn't forgiving on these obstacles, and the power curve is too snappy for this kind of riding. Sea to Sky Hard Enduro 2022 kicked off with Day1's Beach race wıth a super tricky track laid ahead to tackle. Travis Teasdale was the winner of the morning qualification and the title defender from last years Beach Race. South African had a bitter sweet race with a bad start in the early minutes. He recovered all the way up to P2 before the end of second lap but it didn't work out for him after that. At the end Travis finished the day with P8 and left some recovery work for the following days! ISDE 2022 France moved to a new chapter on Day 3 with Enduro Test throughout the day and Team UK once again finished on top at the class World Trophy. With Enduro Test we moved to the hard and tricky bits of the racing week. Andrea Verona of Team Italy got his rhythm and became the fastest of the day before Josep Garcia. At the Women’s World and Junior World Trophy nothing has changed at the top of the ladder. Team US got the WWT and Team Italy JWT win for the third consecutive time.
