Just one of our offshore adventures back in January this year when the swell was up and the current was raging. It was too hard to micro jig or bottom fish so we went looking for surface dwellers or pelagics like the Mahi Mahi. In this catch, clean and cook we did some treasure hunting for one of our favorite eating fish, the Rainbow Runner. We went deep sea fishing in Florida and we were targeting rainbow runner, bonita, cobia and kingfish but we caught multiple species of saltwater fish. The Rainbow runner is a secret treasure most people pass up as they think it's a trash fish and don't even bother to taste it. This fish is so tasty we prepared it Mexican ceviche style.
