It’s no LSx Willy’s and that’s no problem for us, we love the uniqueness and how this badass Jeep commands our attention to it! Not much has changed on this consistent 10 second twin turbo LS jeep except some simple maintenance, stickier tires, and a lot more seat time. Running in the 10.0 index class at Wildhorse Motorsports Park, hosted by Street Car Takeover, this badass machine ran consistently all the way into the finals! It was AWESOME to see this Monaro HQ make a return to this years Drag Week! If you don’t recognize this car from the Velocity Stack intake or purple paint job, you might recognize it when you see it launch HARD on 3 wheels, and skate down the rest of the track! He does it nearly every time, and still runs low 9’s! Upon hearing the news that Tom Bailey and Jeff Lutz would be bringing their PROMOD Camaro’s to Drag Week 2015, we nearly lost our freaking nuggets! The Street Outlaws are all moving into the Pro Mod world, and the world is LOSING THEIR MINDS... but driving one over 1,000 miles!?!?! Despite obvious concerns - like an extended frame that is only a few inches off the ground, and the obvious dangers that our US highways afflict, Bailey made it through with minimal issues or damages AND took home 1st place in the Unlimited Class! It sucks any time a car gets banged up at the track, but it sucks even worse when its a real steel body classic. This super clean Chevelle got side ways so fast that the driver was just along for the ride. As you can tell from his reaction he was plenty pissed off. By the the time the car was going on the roll back he was in good spirits and already on the phone planning the rebuild.
