Not a street car? You might think - but this beautiful Valiant Charger owned by John Faraone has DEFINITELY proven itself. Traveling all the way from Australia for his FOURTH Drag Week, John definitely went through hell and back this year. First, his car was held in US Customs for SIX weeks..until luckily it was released 3 days before Drag Week Started. Then, a crank trigger broke during his first pass, only to have a throttle body go bad on the road after day 2 - causing him to miss Wednesday completely, and spend 6 hours in a car park trying to fix the issue. It's not pretty to most, it's not fast compared to what we usually film, but it sure is badass!! There are a lot of rat rods out there, but seeing this particular truck roll in on some HUGE 26” wheels pulling a sketchy, chopped up, patina’d-out, 40’s truck bed trailer- we knew it was worth a look. We can’t even imagine how uncomfortable the 1000 mile trip must have been during the notorious Drag Week competition. The Dodge Omni GLH (Goes Like Hell!) is a mean machine, especially when you consider the fact that it can run a 9 second pass in a mostly stock form! These guys know what it takes to build a street car AND go fast, even with a manual transmission! These guys are having a lot of fun with this little turbocharged Dodge four cylinder with a Daytona five speed behind it. Not only that, they also just finished a brutal Drag Week trip that took them nearly 1,000 miles to FOUR different tracks, beating up the car at each stop!
