Sea to Sky Hard Enduro 2022 kicked off with Day1's Beach race wıth a super tricky track laid ahead to tackle. Travis Teasdale was the winner of the morning qualification and the title defender from last years Beach Race. South African had a bitter sweet race with a bad start in the early minutes. He recovered all the way up to P2 before the end of second lap but it didn't work out for him after that. At the end Travis finished the day with P8 and left some recovery work for the following days! More than 150 extreme hill climb enthusiast, including Pol Tarres with his T7, gathered up for one of the most iconic hard enduro race event, Rocket Ride of Erzbergrodeo 2022. Racing week of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship’s Round 3 Erzbergrodeo started with Mitas Rocket Ride on Thursday, 16th of June. All competitors had the chance to hit two hot laps in order to be qualified for the finals. After the prologue session it was Chris Perry who qualified on top. He was followed by Sonny Goggia and Oskar Kaczmarczyk. We then jumped into the whole shot knock-out final sessions in the afternoon. After finishing the qualification with P22 and barely making it into quarter finals, Pol Tarres had a great run both in Quarter and Semi-Finals which let him lined up for the Super Final. In the end we were ready final go and it was Pol Tarres with his fat 2-cylinder T7 against lightweight enduro and motocross singles. Pol couldn’t hold a chance against them and finished last but still it was an epic journey to the finals. The World of Extreme Enduro welcomed the 2022 season with the iconic French challenge, Alestrem Hard Enduro. After missing it last year due to global pandemic the participation was beyond expectations and the fans were amazing as well. The racing weekend consisted of three events; 1. Xtrem Test (Saturday) 2. Minevra Prologue (Saturday) 3. Main Race (Sunday) Minevra Prologue was won by Alfredo Gomez. He accompanied by Sherco’s Mario Roman and young Frenchman Fabien Poirot on the podium. Main event started last in order on Sunday CET 10:00 and there were 3 laps ahead. Being one of the longest rides, +7h, of any known racing day Alestrem Hard Enduro gets tougher each lap. 3rd lap was a killer and riders had to gear up with extra lights at the last pit stop. The favorite trio, Mario Roman - Wade Young - Alfredo Gomez, left the last pit stop back-to-back for the final lap and an extreme battle started. Mario was last in the order but it didn’t take long to catch and pass Alfredo between CP2 and CP3. He then caught Wade before CP6 and the two were racing hard and taking the lead back and forth. After CP8 Wade Young ran out of gas and had to stop desperately. Mario then brought a comfortable win home for the team and became the most winning of the Alestrem Hard Enduro, 3 times. Taking advantage of Wade’s desperation, Alfredo Gomez showed up at the finish line with P2. On the other hand, Wade was desperate in the woods and hoping a helping hand to arrive. After a 10 or more riders passed through, one hero stopped and shared what he has left in his tank. South African then continued to his race and came in P3. The last day of Sea to Sky 2021 had its traditional zero altitude mass start at the beach and offered a gnarly route to the ultimate finish line over the clouds on the Mount Olimpos (Lycian). The first row took off at 09:00 AM and Mario Roman led the pack at the first half of the race. His team mate Wade Young got the lead before CP5 and stretched the gap more than four minutes once. Towards the end Mario got his rhythm back and reduced the gap down to one minute at the last check point. From that on to the finish he had Wade in his side from a striking distance and waited for the right moment. At a technical hill climb on the last stretch he gambled ona different line and worked his way to the lead. Mario then got to the chequered flag first by finishing the Mountain Race in 3h26m31s. Because wasn’t able to recover overall damage against his teammate Wade he ended up being P2 on the podium. Apart from the leading Sherco duo, Teodor Kabakchiev had a brilliant day as a privateer and came in P3 with just one minute far from Mario but again it didn’t matter cuz again it was not enough recovered for a podium spot. Travis Teasdale on the other had continued his epic S2S journey with an almost stock 250 and after winning Beach Race he rode enough to get him a place at the last step of the podium along side the Sherco’s duo. ✦ We can't thank enough to our host, Kemer Barut Collection family, for having our crew along with the fellow riders. Sea to Sky Day 3 action Sky Race was fairly run through at lover altitude comparing its debut last year. Due to this track selection we weren’t able to shot the epic frames that we filmed last year with extraterrestrial scenery. Once again Sherco’s South African Wade Young completed the track fastest for the day. He finished it in 1h36m06s. His team mate Mario Roman was only 1m45s behind and he kept the overall P2 with a hope to recover the damage on Mountain Race. Travis Teasdale spent yet another great racing day with his 250 and was ready to push it all for the last day. After Tuesday's newly implemented Red Bull Romaniacs 2020 Time Trial Qualifications it was finally the time for the main action Today here at Red Bull Romaniacs 2020. Riders spent more than 5 hours and that was a challenge for real. Top 5 riders were quite close to each other throughout the course and it led some breathtaking uncut footages for you to enjoy. Graham Jarvis, who finished qualifications with P5, completed the day on top with 5h14m49s. The closest competitor was last year's winner Manuel Lettenbichler and he came in P2 with only 36s behind Jarvis. Finally, we came to Day 4 for the Sea to Sky 2020 Hard Enduro Race and all 159 riders were set to have the mass start for the big trophy. Sea to Sky 2020 The Mountain Race format was to take start at the beach and ride all the way up for 55 kilometres to Mount Olympus (2365 meters of altitude). It was Wade Young got reached to the CP1 first but top 5 were so close to each other till CP8. When Mario Roman reached to CP8 first the top 4 were within only 3 seconds. Between CP8 and CP9 Mario Roman and Billy Bolt took a wrong line which hurt these two dearly. In the end of the day it was Graham Jarvis to win the big trophy. Wade Young came in P2 and Billy Bolt P3. With this win Graham Jarvis won Sea to Sky for the 6th time at the age 45. After 2 days of intense racing it was Day 3 for Sea to Sky Hard Enduro Race. A 32 km track laid upon 2000 meters of altitude for the first time in Sea to Sky Hard Enduro history and it is called Sky Race. The track was mainly designed to be a softer trail for everyone to enjoy the beautiful scenery but because it was softer it took only 54 minutes for Billy Bolt to finish it with P1. World’s most enjoyable Hard Enduro Race Sea to Sky was held for the 11th time this year and welcomed most of the top riders including Graham Jarvis, Billy Bolt, Mario Roman and wade Young. Since most of the championships and major races like Erzberg Rodeo, Extreme Lagares and Hixpania cancelled, Sea to Sky 2020 Hard Enduro was the first big event of the year 2020 after the pandemic outbreak. Race week started on 23rd of September and after 3 days racing it was the time for the big run, the Mountain Race. World’s finest hard enduro riders managed to reserve their position at the mass start and the race started at 10:00 AM. We have edited the GoPro footages of Graham Jarvis(P1), Jonathan Richardson(P8) and Bayram Uysal(P8) and prepared a Mountain race show for you to watch.
