We were excited to experience life 'off the grid' & sailing around the Abaco islands on limited supplies definitely tested our survival skills. We fished & explored around each island we'd anchor around each night & had the most amazing trip. Every Spring time in Florida one of the most anticipated biker events of the year takes place in Daytona Beach Florida. Known as Bike week it actually spans two weekends in March this year 5th-14th. We went to the Swap Meet to check out some stunt Bikers and vendors. Then we head over to the International Speedway to test drive the Polaris Slingshot. It was exhilarating. We had it floored out of the gate smoking the tire and sliding sideways. After we head to the Boardwalk for the Bike show right on the Beach. A stroll down Main Street is filled with custom Motorcycles and interesting people. We go to Ormond Beach to check out Smilies Tap, The Broke Spoke, and The Iron Horse Saloon. So the view of the waterfalls is better on the Canadian side so that is where we decided to stay. After flying into Buffalo New York it is just a short drive over the border to Niagara Falls. There are lots of dining and entertainment options in the area. Clifton Hill is the area with the Ferris Wheel, Mini Golf, Arcades, and lots of bars and restaurants. The boat we took up to horseshoe falls was called the Hornblaster. It was $25 a person, which is totally worth it. You get right up in the mist water churning underneath as you get rained on by massive amounts of swirling mist clouds spurred by the 167 foot drop. Many of the high rise hotels have an excellent view of the falls.
