Back again with a new Billet motor, Tom Bailey brought his 4000 horsepower “Beast Mode” Camaro to this years Drag Week with hopes of blasting a couple 5-second passes down the 1320. Unfortunately for him, he fried a piston and tore up a cylinder sleeve on the first day - which needed work that couldn’t be completed along the way. Inshore Florida mullet run and snook fishing action in this gopro video shot with Swamp to Sea Guide Service out of Boynton Beach, FL. Darcie loses a huge Jack Crevalle and catches a nice Snook, lots of mullet run action inside. I received a text from Capt. Patrick Smith to go do some mulletrun fishing in the morning. It was an opportunity I could not turn down. We started off by going offshore into the Atlantic Ocean and looking for mullet bait fish jumping and going crazy indicating that predator fish were chasing them. We were throwing live finger mullet on Mustad 5/0 circle hooks to the predators. Not much was going on offshore, so we went inshore. We found a lot of mullet around especially near seawalls and mangroves. I hooked up with a large Jack Crevalle that spit the hook and then we caught a nice 27" snook. After that the fishing slowed down. At the end of the go pro video we went out again that evening and didn't catch any fish but did throw the cast net and caught plenty of bait. Watch in HD!!! Once again at Santa Maria Speedway, the sprint car wheelie contest was held at this famed track. This time though, the USAC/CRA 410 Wingless Sprint Cars were the contestants for the $1000 grand prize. This contest though only had two brave souls that came out and raced for the prize: Las Vegas Nevada's own Seth Wilson and the USAC/CRA defending champ Mike Spencer from Temecula, CA. Unfortunately for this year, the wheelies where very tough as you will see. Mike Spencer even did some free style driving through the infield and around the mini oval to earn some more points from the judges (this year, it was some of the photographers in the infield [Steve, Mark & Kori]). In the end, the #1X of Seth Wilson took home the $1000 prize by beating the #50 of Mike Spencer by a score of 22.5 to 13 out of 30. The Red Bull surf team's first aerial training session on the newly built skateboard bowl. Jordy Smith, Michel Bourez, Mick Fanning and Sally Fitzgibbons all tried adapting to the new board and skate deck - much different from a surf board and wave - and after a while it proved as a perfect training ground for aerials in the water. Borrowing training concepts first proto-typed by snowboarder Shaun White during "Project X", the best of the best, including two-time and reigning Men's World Champion Mick Fanning, Women's World Champion Sofia Mulanovich, Junior World Champions Julian Wilson and Sally Fitzgibbons, along with international stars Jordy Smith and Michel Bourez will be expanding, honing and refining their aerial repertoires with the assistance of professional coaches, pro skateboarders and the use of gymnastic facilities.
