The Ride Helix is an aggressive freestyle snowboard that is best suited for jumping, carving, and riding at higher speeds. The snowboard features a camber dominant profile with an asymmetrical sidecut as well as a slew of other high end features from Ride. I found the two biggest standouts on the Helix to be how much pop it has to offer, as well as the stability. Overall this is a really fun snowboard that is going to be just as fun for cruising as it is inside the park. You can do hard way tricks for both jump and rail tricks, and the simplest way I can put it is to begin the trick by taking off on the opposite edge you normally would, or by approaching the rail feature from the opposite side. For example, a hard way frontside 180 on snow would be the same as a regular frontside 180 except you would be starting the trick by taking off on your toe edge rather than your heel edge. For rail tricks the identifying factor for hard way is the fact that you will be jumping up and over the rail. So for a hardway frontside 180 on to a rail, you would still be spinning a frontside rotation, except you would start the trick with the rail in front of you rather than behind you like on a typical frontside 180.
